Stop buying midfielders, that's the job of La Masia, if they can't produce them they should get fired. I am already pissed off with their abilities to produce DM.

I don't follow him at City but for his Portugal matches i can say he has definitely declined compared to 2-3 years ago, he looks slower in his head and feet and doesnt have the creativity/vision he had once. Still a top class player but i dont think he will be able to perform well with 33/34.

His best strenght is that he is very flexible, he can play several positions on top level.

Defensive players have far more longevity to maintain playing at a high level than attacking players, who tend to decline fairly quickly.

We need a defensive midfielder badly. In contrast, we have a plethora of box to box midfielder players.

So our sporting department totally overlooks João Palhinha, in order to target his Portuguese compatriot Bernardo, who would command around double the wage of Palhinha.

Make this 💩 make sense.

One of my favorite players of the last decade but that window has closed IMHO to make a play for him with the current depth

If 1:1 is truly on horizon, must close deal on Nico & make a play for Wirtz

Seems a slow start to the season for the lad. He has loads of talent and is very fit, but he is 30 now and has a lot of miles on the clock given his diligent, buzzy, hard running style of play.

I wonder if perhaps he will start to decline soon. Far too early and small a sample size to say but when I have watched Man City this season he definitely doesn't seem his normal self. Maybe he will come into better form as the season progresses. With Rodri's absence he's integral to their ability to control the game.

Also, where does the time go? I remember when he signed for them and was just 22/23 (think it was 2017 he signed).
