you resort to the ol' ad hominem way too frequently. it's like you have nothing of your own to say.

stick to basketball dude, it's clearly your thing.
Lucky your reasoning is so much stronger. "Was Zidane better than Iniesta? no." impressive point you made there.

zidane carried france to the 2006 final, when he was past his peak, and when france shouldn't have got even close to the final, could iniesta do that? no. could xavi? maybe.

xavi is the only midfielder who comes close.

zidane carried them?

are you sure?

coulda sworn spain were level with them until aragones withdrew raul, who had been marking makelele magnificently. with maka free to direct play, zidane suddenly came to the fore.

against brazil he rolled back the years, for sure, but then zidane has always been good at punishing dysfunctional brazilian teams (see '98).

didn't do much against portugal except score a penalty that shouldn't have been a penalty.

ditto in the final. oh and he missed an easy chance in extra time and got sent off, losing his team the world cup. nice one, zizou!

Xavi is 5 steps below Steven Gerald .....Messi shits on Iniesta and Xavi, I had like to see your beloved Xavib try and play in a different league or team and lets see if anyone wld be calling his name after two seasons.

My advice
Get off your armchair and go play some footy, video games and excessive football broadcasting is ruininng the perception of football.
Haha you're the stereotype Madridista.

perhaps never in the history of football has one player benefited so much from 3 goals.

He was one of the best player in the world from 97/98-02/03, i will give him that and the best for two of those years at most(probably one), but the way people go around doing a huge disservice to football saying things like one of the best ever, putting his name along side the likes of cryuff, is just sad.

he was one of the greatest 50 players to play football i will give him that, probably in the twenties, but his huge reputation is solely build on those 3 goals, take them away and look at his career and see how it really stacks up.

was he the best player at juve?. No
At real, maybe for one season.
for france. Yes

he was never even the best player if his generation, see ronaldo.

I don't know what it is that he and kaka eats are does that makes most of the footballing public look over the obvious so much, but what ever it is i wish i could get some.
