Club is in a rut the biggest non performers earn the most

We need to do a fire sale to get rid of the cancer on the club and set an example that we are NOT a free ride

And if they refuse to move then move them to the reserves to rot for a year

Why everyone saying Real Madrid deal better? €1.1m over 10 years isn’t better than €1.7m over 14 years. The exact financial details also haven’t been completely revealed yet so stop being so negative and trust Laporta. Something so many Barça fans have wrongly found very hard to do sadly :laporta3:

"We expand on the news shared by @EsportsRAC1 about the final agreement between Barça and Nike:

👉 It will be the best contract in the world: €1.7 billion over 14 years, averaging €121 million annually.

👉 The signing was initially planned for a week from now, but everything accelerated early this morning, and an emergency board meeting was called today to authorize it.

👉 Club members will need to give final approval in an extraordinary assembly.

👉 Until 2028, the annual increase will be from €45 to €48 million, including the €10 million signing bonus.

👉 From 2028 to 2038, the increase will rise to €58-60 million annually.

👉 Barça gains full control over international e-commerce, which could significantly boost BLM's revenue.

👉 Barça secures complete control over its private label, which previously could only be sold in Spanish stores. Now, retro/vintage jerseys without the Nike logo can also be sold internationally.

👉 Barça will have the opportunity to launch its own sports footwear line: the Barça brand.

👉 The ‘Malus’ clauses from the previous contract are removed, meaning there will be no penalties for not winning titles or for being eliminated in the Champions League group stage.

👉 Darren Dein has once again played a role in the operation as a broker, as he did with the Spotify deal. He will receive a market commission."

Some numbers that do not appear once the agreement is known. The new contract will mean that, between 2024 and 2028, Barça will receive around 45 million more per season, but in terms of fair play it can only count on the 10 million pro rata this season because it had already budgeted for the others.

Barça is considering other alternatives to reach 1:1. The most advanced is the arrival of a new investor for Bridgeburg. Barça valued the company at 408 million euros and put 49% of the shares up for sale for a value of 200 million. After agreements, contracts, non-payments and more agreements, the Barça club has managed to deposit 55 million, deciding to provision the remaining 145, both those unpaid and what remained to be collected.

The club is still looking for new partners whose entry would improve this season's budget and provide 'fair play' and they explain that there are two investors willing to enter the business, hoping to close an agreement before the end of the year. Another alternative would be the departure of a footballer from the first team, an income that would facilitate more salary flexibility.

It plays a role in everything.

If you know I need money, you'll offer me less.
No, this is simply wrong. That's not how sponsor deals are being done. They're purely negotiated on the popularity of the brand. Meaning fans, followers, media presense, merchandise and kits sells and more. It has absolutely nothing to do with the club's current financial situation. There are tons of examples of other clubs.
Especially with a decade or longer going contract. Transfer negotiations and sponsor deals are not the same.

Why do you think Nike improved their offer massively after Laporta started to flirt with Puma? Where does our financial situation plays a role if different outfitters compete against each other to get Barca, one of the most popular sport brands in the world?

Man United is another example that these contracts are negotiated purely on popularity and not on the club's bank account or how many throphies they've won recently. They keep getting record deals, because their brand is still exremly popular, despite the sporting mediocrity.

edit: And the biggest fact you see right now, where we're signing the world's best deal despite our financial situation.

What people are forgetting when comparing it to Madrid's deal is that their deal includes their merchandising and ours does not. Barca is estimating around 200m in revenues from BLM in 2026, which, as a rough estimate, would add another 40m a year or so on top.

That indeed would make our deal superior.
