Lewandowski might have rivaled Messi and Ronaldo's top goal scoring seasons(looking at goals per game), but i just can't rate it as highly, because Bundesliga.
Put 11/12 Messi in Bundesliga and he would legit have scored like 60 league goals.

More like 65 IMO. Messi's output in 2012 was 91 goals and ~25 assists. That's 115 or so G+A in a year. He was basically scoring at the rate of a top team, by himself, in LL.

All the best sides have more than one option up front for goals. Liverpool and City for example and Madrid with Benzema, Vinicius and Rodrygo. Bayern became super predictable as it all funnelled to Lewandowski.

It’s like stop him, you stop Bayern. Same with Barca’s Messi dependence, if he was stopped - the team doesn’t function well.

I worry that Barca are going to try funnel everything through him and it’s just going to end up predictable and easy to stop.

Don't worry. Can always trust Raphinha and Dembele to shoot from weird angles when they have a chance like they did last game

Not even close. He might have got around 60 if he played a 38 match season against Bundesliga opposition while playing for that Barca team.

If he was playing for Bayern that season, he'd do well to hit 35-40.

Rassvet is now saying Lewa is better than 2012 Messi

Rampant trolling

2012 Messi was the absolute peak when it comes to individual performance from a player. Not just the stats, but simply how lethal he was.

No one even comes close.

You're welcome
Crazy thing is people only see the goals and assists if you look him up. Look up Messi including almost goals and wasted assists and chances. So much magic.

Anyway, it's time for people to put BuLi at the same pedestal as Ligue 1, and I would argue it's worse as talents from France tend to settle down well in England, Spain whereas a lot of BuLi talent flounders when they move apart from Bayern players it seems and exceptions like Haaland.

German football culture is elite though and one of the best in Europe if not the best.

Without it they would be the Jupiler League

I do not know if it works so easy as you must have other players that can score, too. Bayern this season has 9 different goal scorers + own goal for 15 goals. Not just the offensives but Pavard, Kimmich, de Ligt now had goals. And all of the attackers.

We have a new fluidity in attack as all of the four attackers consistently change positions.

This incel literally replied to Morten mentioning 11/12 Messi and is now shocked people are pushing back at his dumb takes. How does that even work?

It's true, fluidity and changing positions is so crucial especially at the top level. Xavi's insistence on militant positional play last season and game 1 this, is making me think it's basically try to feed Lewa. If not you got Dembele trying to score from very unlikely angles.

I said as soon as Lewandowski went, I could see Bayern being unshackled as you got rapid, dynamic players who like to interchange positions plus a player like Kimmich who's ridiculous at lofting passes for attackers. I know it's early days but I think you look super strong and have bought very well.
