The guy who should have been sent off in regular time, scores the winning penalty. Typical.

Watch them get Bielefeld in the semis now

Yes, soooo typical. Because Bayern always gets the easiest draws, for decades now at least. Drawing Leverkusen in the DFB Cup quarters was also really lucky given the tough competition Gladbach, Dortmund and WoB were handed.

I enjoyed Pep's antics on the sidelines during the shootout. Beating Leverkusen in the DFB Cup quarter final on penalties, you could almost see him aging by 10 years sitting there on his chair, looking deeply depressed and racking his footballing mastermind in view of such enormous hurdles. At this rate he'll need another sabbatical soon.

In the past 3 years, the sheer amount of Bayern vs. BVB duells has been inflated to somewhat unreasonable levels...

Didnt watch, but penalties vs Leverkusen probably means it wasnt the strongest of performances for Bayern?

The ref was a joke. Bayer gave it their all and were pretty good and intense, but Bayern were pretty clearly better overall, also had good chances and situations (Bayer too actually). Bayern scored a perfectly legal goal (perfect Lewa header after corner kick), which was disallowed however. (At least he made somewhat of a concession call when he awarded Thiago a yellow instead of the deserved red later on). A draw seems fair all in all.

All of 'em were pretty much unstoppable, to be fair to him, really well taken

Nah. For someone who's hailed for his penalty-stopping exploits, he committed a bit too early couple of times. For instance, the Thiago one was saveable.

Bayern - Dortmund
Bielefeld - Wolfsburg

oh fuck off ://

Better lose in the semis, than the final. No stopping this Buyern team.

By that logic, Castro's penalty was also saveable since it was right in the middle.

This is the perfect scenario for Barca, Bayern struggles to score and went to extra time playing extra 30 minutes and having to play 1 or 2 more tough cup matches in the mix of CL football. Mission accomplished... cant have Bayern being super fresh and focus solely on CL only, that would be an disadvantage to all CL contenders.

FFS will someone else in the BL provide any kind of resistance against Bayern? This league is ripe to take over EPL as #2 in the world, but they need another good team. You can't be a decent league with just one legit challenger for all silverware.
