We'll play at Montjuic until the group phase of CL has ended plus the next game v Alaves. At the earliest we play at Camp Nou 16th Feb against Rayo.

Now they lie that we'll return to CN later because of UEFA's rule. Wonder what they'll come up with when the league phase ends and CN still won't be ready.

UEFA's rule is an excuse to postpone.
Excuse or not, even if the Camp Nou would have been finished, barca wouldn't move back for LaLiga and stay at the montjuic for the CL simply because it's financially speaking way too costly to pay for 2 stadiums at the same time. When the club moves, then for all competitions together. But it looks like the works won't finish on time as well, so there is both.

The UEFA rule covers just two games in January until CL group stage ends. What baffles me is Barca being unaware of this rule, which raises questions. I wasn't aware of it for certain. I was skeptical when they announced end of 2024, one theory is it was all a marketing trick on Nike deal.

I wasn't aware either. It's all a bit strange, but in the end who cares as the construction is delayed which is normal in huge projects anyways. Limak still works very fast overall, when looking how the stadium looked in November 2023. I think the club can and should return around March back to Camp Nou. If it's not ready to move by then, then critics should arise why Limak promised something else. But it's too early for it now.

The problem is not Limak's work, I think they are doing a very good job, it's the clubs lying that it's because of Uefa. They knew we won't return in November just as they know now we won't return in February and probably March. I think it will happen in the summer.

I'm an agronomist and we are nearly in December. Not a patch of grass has been laid down, there are still cranes midfield and there's no soil, only mud and rocks. No way they pull out a miracle to have Xavi's preffered grass height and density of Camp Nou by February. Unless they import it from outside farm. In natural environment grass grows at slow rate, temperatures between 13-20 degrees and Catalonian winters as mild as they are, they are still below the threshold. I'm no expert in the following thing - I know every big stadium club utilize artificial lights to stimulate photosynthesis to keep the grass in condition, but heating up the soil for the seed to grow is different thing.

I'll gladly take the big L for this comment, but IMO summer of 2025 is the earliest Camp Nou will be ready for football.

All big clubs buy a grass football field from the Netherlands nowadays. It costs them a day to lay the field. Madrid did it like 5 times in the last season, because their grass didn't grew in their new fancy underground facility. Believe me, the grass is the smallest problem. It'll take a day to have a field ready to play on.
Barca also always exchanged the grass field once a season in the summer and that didn't take weeks either. It's a normal and fast procedure.
