Carlo Ancelotti

Ancelotti is a good manager, but lets not overreact here. Carlos had a great team this year, maybe individually better than Barca and he still failed. Ok he had to face many injuries but still his nonexistent rotation had to do smth with that. Even last year when he won Ch.L, he failed to win la liga against a mediocre Barcelona and Atletico who had by far the smallest budget among the 3. Also i dont get the pessimism from RM fans, before even Benitez is announced.

The point RM fans made is that Carlo was the best option if we look at the rumors:

- Keeping Carlo
- Benitez
- Klopp

Carlo has some flaws but, imo, was the best choice of all three.

And Perez not being able to tell why he sacked Carlo is pretty telling.

Fans and players wanted Carlo to stay too. Way to put a big disorder in the dressing room. And if he signs benitez above all that... Good luck.

By "fine" do you mean they will get knocked out in the CL SF, have a decent run in CDR (maybe win it) and once again underachieve in La Liga? ;)

By fine I mean that it will be as close as always. Let's not kid ourselves that Real Madrid have done badly this season. We pipped them by two points. H2H they were on top of us and only narrowly lost the semi-final (remember that they played Sevilla and Valencia in between the semis, while Juve were cruising in Italy)

When your domestic rival is called FC Barcelona, your chances of winning several league titles are quite limited you see. In other leagues, it is much easier. As for the CL, only Barca have won more than one in the last decade.

I hope that puts things into some kind of perspective for you.

The manager with the highest win % (75%) in the 113 year history of Real Madrid has been sacked. And he won 4 titles

IMO, Carlo is just a scapegoat:

- I'd bet he was not the one who chose who to buy last summer.
- I'd bet it was all Perez.
- Carlo had to deal with a weird midfield with no real backup to Modric.
- Selling Xabi was a bad choice.

RM transfer window was bad last summer IMO. Perez was more concerned about buying a new galactico than actually improving the team as a whole.

Rafa is good. Not a top class manager but he is good. His style of football will not be widely accepted by the real fans however.

I don't think the players were consulted before he was sacked and i know they wanted him to stay. Especially Ronaldo.

It might be the last straw for Ronaldo and he may think about leaving
