Rafa is good. Not a top class manager but he is good. His style of football will not be widely accepted by the real fans however.
I don't think the players were consulted before he was sacked and i know they wanted him to stay. Especially Ronaldo.
It might be the last straw for Ronaldo and he may think about leaving
Ronaldo will probably stay for the record, then get the hell out in January. Wont blame him.
IMO, Carlo is just a scapegoat:
- I'd bet he was not the one who chose who to buy last summer.
- I'd bet it was all Perez.
- Carlo had to deal with a weird midfield with no real backup to Modric.
- Selling Xabi was a bad choice.
RM transfer window was bad last summer IMO. Perez was more concerned about buying a new galactico than actually improving the team as a whole.
what record?
what record?
1. Carlo just a scapegoat? I agree.
2. He did not influence the transfers. Most probably he did not.
3. Was it all Perez? - I wouldn't know, but I 'd imagine that the Real Madrid board are constantly in the look-out for a new fancy signing. Perez is probably the Godfather though.
4. Real Madrid's midfield - I think Kroos is not good enough (Bayern were right to let him go) and the injury to Modric screwed them royally. No doubt about that.
5. Selling Xabi - Good call imo. He is very old, now Bayern are stuck with him. He can have a good game here or there, but great teams must shed old players ruthlessly.
About Xabi, I meant that Perez didn't really buy any replacement.
About Kroos, as I said recently, I admitted I was wrong. When I see what Rakitic is doing, I am not bitter anymore that Kroos didn't sign here.
Anyways, we agree that Perez is most probably the mastermind behind all this
Well, I don't know because I don't follow RM that much during their mercato, but there are plenty of players that could have been good enough as backups.Yes, but who could have taken the Xabi role? It is not that easy to find replacements to key players.
Yeah, Kroos is good, but he is no BS31.
Of course he is, and like me, he doesn't think that managers make that much of a difference. He is just toying with them.
No other team where he can score 60 goals a year, Real is set up perfectly for him and he needs goals to keep up. His ego will keep him in the shackles voluntary.Ronaldo will probably stay for the record, then get the hell out in January. Wont blame him.

Also, he could have got at least one on loan. He got Chicharito after all (but TBH? I think he just took him to sell more Shirts )
In a survey, 70% of RM fans voted YES to sell Ronaldo if the rumor about PSG splashing 125M euros on him was true. That is absolutely true. He is also at a stage where some kind of decline is all but inevitable. If he moves to another team/league and his goals-count drops off significantly, then his past achievements will be questioned by some quarters. It is in his best interest to stay put. Now, as for RM's interest, that is a totally different story altogether.
