I admire how fast Bayern gets deals done and how they are managed in general. Just like the Guardiola-deal Ancelotti was unveiled in december so that he has enough time for preperations, scouting and the language. Bayern shows time and time agian that they are the most well-run club in the world.

Rummenigge told in an interview that the first contacts with Ancelotti was at the FIFA awards show in January this year, when he still was coach of Real Madrid. Ancelotti at that time told to Rummenigge, that he would like to coach Bayern.

When in September it seemed to him that Pep might tend to not extend they contacted Ancelotti again.

Pep told him at the Club's Xmas party on December 6th his decision - than the contact with Ancelotti was made immediately and probably an agreement made very fast. And yes, Ancelotti started to learn German 2 weeks ago.

Might be interesting to know why he said that - to mislead everybody?

It must have been around the time when Bayern contacted - Rummenigge told he had the first feeling that Guardiola will not extend in September. And if you look how fast it took from the time Pep finally informed Rummenigge on December 6th to the time Ancelotti started to learn German (2 weeks ago) - it could be that at that time he already gave the promise to Rummenigge that he will be Bayern coach in 2016/17 if Pep does not want anymore.

the guy lost out domestic league with PSG, so yes.

In all fairness, PSG were definetly not as good as they're nowadays. And it's also worth to take into account that Carlo was appointed in the late December of 2011. I'd like to say it's actually pretty impressive to lead PSG a 2nd place, just only three points behind the winner. It's their best season in Ligue 1 since 2003-04 season. For years, PSG were a mid-table/bottom team in the 2000s and their League title from the 2012-13 season was the first one since the 1993-94 season.
