Carlos Tevez

that's not true at all, the system just has to be right.

he's notoriously crap at learning languages. look how good he was for you last season when you had the multilingual velvet owl as your assistant. since he left tevez and nani (two notorious problem children) have had pretty average-to-rubbish seasons.

for barca he'd be in a spanish-speaking country which would help him massively. and we already know he can combine with messi to great effect. pep would love his work-rate and would reward him with big games and he may well perform. but is he be the man for us? is there not the possibility of him being a white eto'o - awful first touch n' all? I think so. he's not clinical enough. and is definitely not worth the 30m that MSI want.

he'll go to city coz they're the only club stupid enough to pay that kinda money, plus then he won't have to move house.

Carlos Tevez came to England a year before we signed him. So this is his third year in England. If he still can't understand a thing what the gaffer is saying to him, then I don't want him there. Even if that's the case, I'm sure United have the services of translators.

I'm not doubting his ability to do well in Spain. Spanish culture and climate suits him better and he'll adapt there quickly.

The main stumbling block for us is his transfer fee. He simply is not worth 30 million. There are much better strikers in Europe for that kind of money.

u mad? Are you really Man United fan? He is work his ass whenever he get the chance to play. I do admire Tevez and I think he should move to a club where he is appreciated!

Actually in a poll in our forum around 60% people prefer Berbatov (who most deem as lazy and worthless) to Tevez.

Like I said before, his work rate makes him very endearing. But very little end product for a striker supposedly worth 30 millions.

not to disrespect your forum but the only logical reason they would prefer Berba over Tevez in a poll titled: "who would you rather sleep with"!

a translator isn't the same as having a coach who can speak your language and express themselves clearly in a tongue you understand. that is so much better for not only tactical coaching but for bonding and such.

why do you think wenger always does so well with his boys?

In that case, the result would be like 99% (Every forum has some odd balls)in favor of Berba mate

That makes me wonder, why are Madrid after him? They sure aint selling any shirts with his face printed on it. ;)

Four bloody years.

Tevez plays very attractive kind of football, but for Barca Villa might be better for his reputation at clinical finishing. Tevez can be an option for the left forward/winger role, then what about Frank Ribery? Though I must admit that I do feel curious to see what happens when a very energetic Tevez plays with the Barca team.

yeah I know, I'm not on about his tactical ineptitudes. I meant he never has trouble integrating foreign lads from all sorts of different backgrounds. and I'd wager a large part of that is because he's multilingual.

similarly you had a lot of foreign lads join you last year (anderson, nani, tevez, the twins) and they all flourished really. well, the twins were just settling in but they've done that well. and I think a lot of that was down to that velvet owl.

Yes a lot was down to Queiroz, he definitely helped the latin players to adapt there's no doubting that. More often than not people who speak the same language and share the same customs helps players to adapt quickly.

Like I said before, I do not doubt Tevez's ability to flourish in Spain. But for us, spending 30 million on him is not good business.

he's not going to liverpool, he's goin' to you mate.

read joorabchian's quotes on the matter. he's on about how tevez isn't necessarily looking for a club in "so and so a position" but is looking for a club with ambitions to be the best etc.

sound familiar?

plus you're the only ones crazy enough to spend 30m quid on him!

Lol imagine Kuyt and Tevez playing upfront together. Their combined work rate would be higher than the rest of the Liverpool team put together.

I'm not getting my hopes up like I did with that Kaka farce :D

To be fair I don't think he's worth £30 million, but these guys from Abu Dhabi will pay silly money. £100 million for Kaka should of been more like £60 million imo.

They will still win fuck all  I don't know why people rate Benitez, he's a cup manager imo

I can see him playing for the scousers with Mascherano, but I can't see them buying both Barry and Tevez.

Don't know how many people I know are convinced that Pool will get Barry and sell Alonso to madrid. Such a stupid thought, Benitez would not sell one of this season's best performers for someone sub-par. Barry is Lucas' replacement. Swinging back on topic though, I assume Tevez's buy-out clause is negotiable aye? I think he'd do well at Barca but 30mill is too much.
