If samu was to be sold, does any1 think that Tevez would suit Barca's system? His work ethic and passion cant be questioned. He has good skills and tactical awareness too. He could be bought with the money gained from selling Eto'o and he is 3 years younger.
What does any1 else think?

I think he could be brilliant, he has the technical ability, toughness, and pace to flourish in the Liga. Only problem is his total lack of heading prowess, we'd have a front line of dwarves if Riberdog were to come. He'd steamroll through any defense in the Primera though, that's for sure, he has a chest like a barrel of meat.

tevez's career is fucked.

only man city will pay the ridiculous fee kia wants.

in a way, I'd love us to buy tevez. his workrate is endless and he links up so well with messi. but we don't need him as he's too similar to players we already have (he's basically a shorter slower samuel eto'o who doesn't score as many goals but scores bigger goals).

Dunno about slower, he has a wicked burst of pace on him. Kind of like Arshavin, you expect em to be slow but they can leave you for dead.

I agree, I'd love him in our squad... I didn't expect much love for Carlitos around here, but I was in for a surprise...

I don't agree. He has a good touch and dribbling for a powerful guy, has proven he can link up well with Messi, and his finishing can't be worse than Samu. Obviously i'd prefer someone like Villa though.

Yeah, but he needs to score goals, which he doesn't.. Eto'o links up with Messi perfect as well. He lost his touch recently though, but if he gets it back, it's better than Tevez.. Overall, Eto'o is just in every aspect of the game.

Fair enough, I disagree but that's just my opinion. It's annoying how few really top class strikers are viable options for us. Villa is probably the most attainable, especially if Valencia fail to qualify for the CL and have to sell many players (so pray for em to lose every upcoming match), Torres would be the pot of gold but I don't think anything will prise him away from Pool.

*better in every aspect of the game..

Well. If we wanted to get a topclass, we could I guess. Ibrahimovich, Diego Milito, Aguero, Villa, all "available".

Tevez is vastly over rated by people. I have seen him play for us for two seasons and he isn't as good as some people make out. Before he came to us, he was excellent whenever I saw him play for Argentina. He had an excellent touch, was quick and was a deadly finisher. But after moving to England, he lost his Latin flair.

He isn't very fast. Rooney is faster than him.
He has a poor touch. That's right people, a poor touch. Rooney and Ronaldo have a better touch than him. Berbatov is light years ahead.
His finishing is atrocious.

He has decent close control, good technique, is strong, and has excellent work rate. That's about it.

IMO:

Ibra: A possibility, but very unlikely because of the high price tag necessary. And his agent has said the only way he'd move is if Moratti decided to sell him, and the only way that will happen is if we offer an extortionate amount

Milito: Now we're talking, I like this player a lot, but his move to Inter seems to be all but wrapped up.

Aguero: A little overrated imo, he hasn't really done much to impress me this season apart from when they beat us . More of a forward than an out-and-out striker anyway.

Villa: The best option.

And United, that's quite a harsh comparison because Rondon, Rooney and Berbatov all have unbelievable touch, like really top notch
