Casemiro

Bar utter clowns who don't rate Casemiro there's really nobody on either side of the deal that's happy about it.
The only person satisfied is going to be Perez and yet to be seen whether Casemiro himself made the correct choice.
And that is very telling

Sporting-wise, we all know the answer.
But he secures a massive contract, so financially its good for him, don't blame him if he goes for it, already won lots of trophies.

Real might drop level a bit but you made out like bandits. Pure desperation from United.

So what
Who cares about the money lol
We have like 200 in the bank from the last failed vanity investment
Ask any RM fan 2 days ago and they'd be happier if he stayed and we sold for 40 in 1-2 years but are not pretending this is all great because we're getting double that and gambling on landing on two feet like always do

Always hope ex-RM players performs well in new clubs, but it would be kinda funny if the whole thing don't work out for United and redcafe goes back to being miserable again.

Look at post Birdy made and you understand why you doing business is so important. Don't become Barca who keep every veteran way past their expiration date.

Your team is financially stable because those deals(Casemiro, Varane and Ronaldo etc) and even then you bought players for hundreds of millions without having massive debt like Barca.

I wish Barca was this smart

Dont doubt it's good for him and his single mom's pension, but only when sporting-wise everything works out fine.
Last player we sold to Man United directly (prior to last summer, forgot) ended up fobbing off his wages and fucking off after a year, because he hated it there and team finished 4th not 6th. Nothing is guaranteed even on that deal and he won't be allowed to sit idle. Considering it's Ten Hag he's coming to play for, he better be ready to play with ball at his feet or he'll end up on the bench like his mate Rafa and we all know that's not a rosy fate to sign up for for 1-2-3 let alone 5 years

Birdy's take is useless because he thinks player is finished since 2016. Automatic disqualification of anything he says.

Money isn't a problem for RM and selling only DM for money you've got fuckall plan to spend on correct players even in the immediate term is dodgy to say the least.

Casemiro isn't Pirlo, but he has decent enough composure to handle the ball under pressure, i don't think that will be a big problem.

Casemiro isn't our only DM, Tchouameni plays there too, though obviously can't expect him to play at Casemiros level right now.
Having said that, 70 mill sounds good, but Casemiro isn't even 31 yet, feels like we could have squeezed United for more, or just said no also.

Personally dont even think Ten Hag had him in mind at any point when considering how to make this work and will take months if not years to get anything working correctly with him at #6. Bruno not right player to drop into midfield three and Casemiro never played in double pivot.

Tchou is not a DM. He's a defensive B2B like Kante. Have to see how good he turns when asked to sit tight. IF asked to sit tight. Cuz I dont disagree hard CKM breakup definitely could work wonders and it opens up 4-4-2 or even 3ATB more, problem doesnt lie there, just that it was approached from the back-end for little reason

Honestly dont care for the cash. Why do we need it? What're we gonna spend it on? And we're probably going to spend now when 2 days ago nobody thought about it throwing any 1.5 months prep done under the bus.
Bruno Guimaraes? Ok. Never even a plan though allegedly been monitored.

Just dont like this
Last time Alonso bolted we glued the midfield with Kroos at CDM with the same manager. Count on it happening again?
See how it works out on the pitch

What do you mean? Perez needs all the cash he can get, he is saving up another war chest to spend it all on Haaland in a couple of years, though it all ends with Haaland renewing his contract with City in the end.

Another shrewd business and sporting decision by Perez.

Milking out the best years of his legends: Ronaldo, Ramos, Varane, Casemiro, then shipping them when they are DONE and DUSTED
for high fees to clubs that are stupid enough to pay those fees (UTD, PSG, Juve)

On the contrary, Barto's Barca: ignore high offers for players that are post-peak (Rakitic), and reward legends-leeches with honorary contracts that bankrupt the club

LEVELS...

So wild.

Isn’t Tchouameni DM?

Who knows if he would be as good but I would be happy to see Casemiro go.

No
He sometimes plays there and looks most defensive of all partners, played in a double pivot too and swaps about with French mids when playing for NT, but he often played differently than what you'd expect from Casemiro.
He'll obviously be asked to play a role but far from an advertised DM and will have to see how well he settles into it
Has the tools to be good, but that RM is checking Bruno Guimaraes and other alternatives tells you they're far from settling for him without a fitting sub

I don't see the Saudis selling Bruno G when their project is just starting.

What about Alaba? he can play DM as well.

Perez is just smart. Man learnt from his mistakes. Noone is bigger than him and the club. The players are there to serve The club and when they decline,he still sells for a profit. No time for sentimentality with Perez. The man is a ruthless businesses man.
