The Cesc haters are simply people trying to show off that they're mega culés and catalans.
The not preferring Cesc culés is normal.
The preferring Cesc culés is normal.
The Cesc lovers are closet gooners.

Thiago, because he is already with us. Cesc's too expensive. When Xavi retires, and his contract with Arsenal comes to an end, then yes.

lol comparing cesc to thiago....is this a joke.i fcuking hate arsenal and want them burn at hell but we cant deny cesc is a hell of a midfielder.best beside xavi n iniesta. i couldnt stop waiting for a game where thiago will play bad and see what all those cesc haters gonna say.and i`m pretty much sure if thiago gonna be a player as good as cesc is in 1 or 2 years he and his dad will start moaning but i doudt it will be the case with cesc. if he comes he will know what his role gonna be like mascherano knows.

but if we are going for him for more than 25-30m then yes its thiago for me too.but as a player its cesc all the way.

A few months ago, nearly everyone would have Fabregas. This place is bipolar.... Anyways, I don't think either of them can replace the one and only Xavi.

Fabregas - proven but injury-prone
Thiago - still young but obviously a wealth of talent

It's too hard to say right now, last season I would have said Cesc but he has been either shit or injured for most of this season with Arsenal,, and since Thiago still hasn't had regular first team play it's hard to say. He definitely impresses when he does play though.

IMO though no one can replace Xavi, some may come close but there is only one maestro :)

No one player will ever replace Xavi. The only player who influences that game as much as he does is Messi, and of course everyone knows that Messi will never be replaced.

But, Thiago will be the next attacking midfielder to join the regular lineup. I bet he'll be more of a scorer than any of the current midfielders, and maybe Iniesta will assume more of the Xavi role. I would not be surprised if Thiago is the most used midfielder off the bench next year, with both Xavi and Iniesta getting a bit more rest.

That's pretty much all there is to it, no one can replace him. While there are midfielders as precise passers as him like Pirlo and Scholes, the way he orchestrates the game is uniquely done. I've never in my life seen a bad performance by Xavi.

Thiago is the future. When Xavi is no longer the regular starter, I think Iniesta will be the one taking on the role of running the team, though no one will "replace" Xavi. I bet Thiago will be more of a scorer than any midfielder currently on the team.

Thiago could be the most used midfielder off the bench as early as next year. Maybe Pep will be able to limit the minutes of Xavi and Iniesta to about the amount Busquets is playing this year. Masch will play more, Busquets will continue at both CB and defensive midfielder.

My only problem with the whole Fabregas affair is that he's too expensive for a player who is not that much needed here. Everyone here talks about Fabregas for Xavi's replacement but they still talk like Xavi is like 36 or something and is gonna retire in one season! Why should Barca pay 45+ for a player and then bench him or wait till MAYBE a player from the starting line-up get inured or something and then we play him for whatsake?!! All the starting position in Barca is taken already and it's not gonna change for the next season as well. Signing Fabregas with that amount of money is reall stupid and remembering Barca's history with signing loads of un-needed players with mammoth deals makes things worse about this case.

I think that Cesc has been under-par this season due to the fact that he is not really commited to Arsenal anymore.

His mind is already with Barcelona.
