Fabregas: "Bayern have it easier [than Premier League clubs] because they win the league early and then have holidays from January to February.

Cesc forgot to mention that he goes on holidays after January too :pep:

Cesc Fabregas: "EPL is the most competitive league, but the best players are at Barça and Madrid. Behind them, there's Bayern"

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

Seriously how hard is it to keep your mouth shut than to spit out drivel like this

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see anything wrong with that quote. The EPL is the most competitive as no one is running away with it and any team can beat any other. Plus I do think us Madrid and Bayern are the top three sides in Europe to

I didn't agree with the sentiment of the EPL being the most competitive league in the world 4-5 years ago; I do agree with it now though. The league no longer has a dominating team like Manchester United. A few teams took a step down in quality recently, while others took a slight step up. This is evident by their performances in the CL recently, minus Chelsea's miracle moment of winning the CL under a shit manager while playing shit football. The league is very competitive now however, probably the most interesting and entertaining league. The football itself, not so much imo but that's due to personal preference. The overall quality of the EPL though is the lowest it's ever been, despite them having more money than ever.

Definitely. People sometimes mistake competitive for quality and the EPL is not the best league in the world however, it is the most competitive

How do you define competitive anyway? How many teams can actually win it? In EPL only Chelsea and City look like they can win. This year Chelsea tanked so City will win it. Here Madrid and Barca can win with an outside chance for Atletico. Points accumulated over a season? There was a graph which showed there's not much diff there. So i dont get where this competitive hoopla comes from.

GD and points the top team has. That is also a barometer for competition. It is not as competitive as the media and fans make it be but it is quite competitive. But considering the money they are getting it is still not that great. They are just wasting it. If you introduce the GD rule in liga, it will be much more competitive is what i believe.

What diff will GD make? How many times does it come into the picture anyway. If you talking about goalfests city trashed newcastle bournemouth.... United spanked everton....These matches are very few anyway and are getting fewer and fewer.

It will change some things.. Teams like granda and getafe won't lose to barca or madrid for 6-0 or 7-0. They are capable of getting 0-0 or losing 1-0 actually, but once they are down 1 or 2 goals. They just give up and relax so that they can concentrate on the next match. Nothing big will change bottom teams in la liga needs to get more money to have decent change.

Look at the best GD difference between 2 leagues. And also the top team and bottom team difference in points. Maybe it be because barca and real are much better teams or bottom teams are worse. Teams like villarreal and celta doing well is a good thing but they need help financially. If we have even half the money EPL gets the quality and competition will increase a lot.

If la liga teams had a lot of money they could have gone down the epl route and spent on overrated players instead of cultivating talent. So it's not definite that money will bring that much change. Maybe they could retain players but la liga teams find new talent anyway. And these 6-0 matches are getting fewer and fewer and it's not like the epl doesn't have them

Yeah that is bound to happen, they just need to have little money so that they can at least retain their squad and sign couple of players to stay safely in the league and give little competition to top teams.

Yeah it's bad to see liga teams losing their talent. Imagine the likes of Aguero could be playing in la liga right now

The teams can refuse to sell but they need the money sadly. Considering the money in EPL, la liga demanding price should be higher. At least with that money they could stay up and rebuild right away.

Well prices will be higher now. La liga teams know. Otamendi sold for 48m and now they are demanding 50m for Mustafi. Laporte 50m too. Griezemann has 80m buyout
