Cesc Fàbregas

The fact that people are phrasing sentences like "we already have Rafinha and Iniesta" is proof enough how people blindly hate Cesc without giving it much thought.

He's not going to be a huge loss. If we can get 40-50m for him it would be a fantastic deal.

I don't see why people would be so upset over this. We're not losing an amazing player, Cesc as been a borderline failure transfer for Barca. Under 3 difference coaches he still followed the same crap trend of disappearing in the second half of the season and putting on poor performances in big games. It's absolutely ridiculous, and after 3 seasons if he doesn't change. It's certainly unlikely that it will change in his 4th season.

I don't give a shit if the person we sign for his replacement doesn't have the golden boy reputation that the EPL fanbase has given him. I would much rather have someone who can deliver through the course of the ENTIRE season consistently and have an influence in larger games in comparison to what Cesc brings to our team.

Our failures in the past two seasons have come from second half season collapses, that desperately needs to change if we are to have a successful next year.

Maybe the false 9 tactics didn't fit his style? If Lucho start using a real 9, he might shine? Not to mention he was somewhat overshadowed by Xavi?

All that aside, do we have anyone on the roster, both on senior and B team, who can relieve some weight off Xavi? Are there any players we can bring in with the money we can potentially get (I heard 45M pound from ManU) who can play in out system?

With a real 9, Messi plays a 10 (where Fabregas plays), and Cesc tends to run into him most of the time.
With a false 9, Messi plays running from a 10 position (where Fabregas plays), and Cesc tends to run into him most of the time.
Unless you play Cesc in Xavi's role (which he's not the best at, seeing how he looses the ball often), he runs into Messi a lot, which can be frustrating.

Looks like Cesc is off.

Luis Enrique doesn't want to talk about players during the interview, yet praised Neymar and Messi.

I'm going to be honest, I don't like him. From the start I knew this it was useless to get him back and that he wasn't worth the money we invested in him.
I just can't forget the chances he had in the first leg of the semi final at Stamford Bridge in 2012… He could've easily score two (with one saved by Ashey Cole on the line and the other he didn't shoot in the ball) but he didn't.

He never steps up in the big games and it's not big giving three assists against Rayo Vallecano or Levante that I will be convinced.
He's a good player for la Liga but never a world class player who can change/add something against the best teams in the world in the Champions League .

If we can get more than 45m euro for him, he should go.
