Definitely hope Milan make it . But tonight Fiorentina-Bayern Munich are playing. Tomorrow's Milan's turn.

oh yeah Milan only tonight, thanks Ataraxia.
last night was pathetic for Porto, (I hate to admit) and the result was horrendous beyond compare against an injured london side. It was one of those matches that end and all you do is walk out quietly and without any excitement of what UEFA Champions League is all about.

what a plonker..:juggle:

It wasn't.

It was a good goal with a good turn here and there + a neat finish but with nothing else than shit defending.

reminds me of this one (don't take the importance of the goal into account):

So this goal will be used for the next five years to proof Nasri's Ballon D'or potential. And that he is better than Iniesta.

You don't think Giggs' was a great goal?

You could critisize the defending in any individual goal, but I prefer to admire the players skill.

Jesus bloody christ, whatever happened to Porto and La Viola yesterday. I almost cried when watching Arsenal butcher Porto home, and not because Arsenal played good but because Porto was so incredibly toothless and pish throughout the 90minutes. Effings to Arse and Bayern.

..and now Arse are thinking they won the CL. already. U should see their forums...
LoL.
Heineken tasted too bitter during the match, or maybe it was just my tounge and after-game taste..?

I've actually met some rather nice Arse fans in my Uni. in Leuven, who are rather nice and intelligent bunch. Definitely an exception to the rule, more than anything cos most of the people I've seen on forums are simply deluded.

What happened to Porto last night was supposed to happen to Sevilla against Madrid on sunday. But they have proven that they have a better defence than Porto... a way much better one. And a classy keeper.
In the other hand, Bayern should go through anyway... they're just better than Viola... but I guess this was all from Bayern, no more rounds to pass.

Tonight to go through : Man Utd and Lyon

I was really pulling for Fiorentina, I've been watching them a good bit lately. Their games are always open and exciting, last night was no different.

They lacked leadership imo. someone to CUE them for timing a goal. They lacked shots on goal even outside the box, playing into Arsenal defensive wall. They lacked ball retention, looping balls forward and making "airy-faults".

They missed their manager, Ferreira looked like a wet bird on a kerb and giving no sign of wanting to win - perhaps the nerve took over early. Ferreira failed to lead his troops to the promised land.

Porto under-played themselves last night, knowing they coud've done way better, even if they failed (but not with as much as they went down with).:)

Tonight I must hope that Milan achieve the seemingly impossible and go to Manchester and win, and will probably need to do it by a 2 gol margin also. Sadly for me we come into this with hope being the only thing that I can see doing it for us. In Leo I can't see a tactical solution to achieve this, and in the squad I do not see quite enough quality either.

It is also being billed in England alot for the return of Beckham, however it looks like he may not be played at all, as Milan must favour a far more attacking team to have any chance of progression, just rumours at this stage though of course.

Finally Sir Ferguson once again has talked only like a gentleman about Milan. Always he has only respect for when he plays us and for sure we have the equal feeling of his team. Note for the critics: "They (Milan) have an amazing ability to keep their players going into the late stages of their careers, for the last 15 years they had greats like Maldini and Costacurta playing until 40. I don't see this as a negative. It gives them great experience".

Ferguson is usually a very respectful towards most clubs. Tonight I think Man U and Madrid will go through.

Yeah well, if it was not for Chukky's return (Rooney)..things might have looked a little brighter, AC conceded one too many at home, it will be hard enough just to level on things at OT, let alone win it all.

but who knows, these are two quality-player sides and whoever wins could see themselves traveling very far in the competition.

An AC Milan win would make for a good night sleep for me.:)
