Absolutely amazing group, this group F.

We went from place 1 to absolute disaster on place three with injuries ........ and one game later we are top again with a brilliant overshadowing of the italian champ and somehow virtually qualified!

You have to love Champions League. I get excited each time i hear the tune! :D

Sunderland have won more top flight titles than Fiorentina and were a huge club in the early 20th century and having come down that rung a few times have won a couple of fa cups, got a good fanbase (fanbase being something I forgot to mention) and can attack good decent players like fiorentina can.

I guess Roma is a tiny club too, they won the scudetto a whole 1 more time than Fiorentina.

If only those minnows like Roma, Fiorentina, Napoli and Lazio were medium clubs like Bologna, Genoa and Pro Vercelli.

Roma are the captial club with a huge fanbase so they are an exception.

Yeah, Sunderland displayed giants like Djibril Cisse, Cana and Niall Quinn, exactly the same as Fiorentina featuring Baggio, Passarella, Dunga, Batigol and Mutu.

Hmm, another exception.

Fiorentina was capital of Italy at one point in history, can that rule apply to them too?

hey man, group of death. anything can happen.
I still think the second place from Sevilla and Arsenal's groups should be awarded to the 3rd and 4th place from our group.

You do realise how well supported, (compared to Fiorentina) Genoa, Bologna, Torino and Sampdoria actually are? And Roma aren't what we consider a big club, only Milan, Juve and Inter are in that category in Italia. Viola is barely in the top ten of important clubs for us, only someone who came into football in the last ten years might think that it was.

What exactly did fiorentina win with those players again?

Not even Interista consider that a sign of any sort of achievement. Viola could have ten cups in a row and no one would care.

Actually recent statistics show otherwise, Fiorentina's fan base is according to last year's Institute Nielsen Italia ratings among the most popular in the country. Of course success is a major part of it and I'm sure if Fiorentina was awful they would have less fans than Genoa or Torino but the fact is they are attract fans outside of Florence. I'm not saying surveys are reliable but they say more than your opinion.

Can't believe Liverpool got eliminated already. They did poor in the CL and now they are doing pretty bad in the Premier League. They need to step up their game, because they got good players and got the talent to win matches.

I've been going to football matches since before you could point to Italia on a map and Florentia Viola even existed. I don't need some obscure survey to tell me otherwise from what I know to be true.
