Lemon curry?
Who is Sanogo? I don't follow arsenal closely, and this is a new name for me.

21-year-old, came from Auxerre. Joined last summer but was injured for most of the season. He's inexperienced but he played the cup match vs Liverpool and was good.

Still, I'm wondering whether that is not way too much of a gamble, if not outright blunder by Arsene.

Thanks. But isn't it a bit too risky to play him? Giroud is injured, or still down for the sex scandal?

Why? It's not as if Giroud has been a reliable goal threat or made the runs to pick up Özil's etc passes. Sanogo linked up well with AOC & him. It's not as if Arsenal have much to lose anyway. Good line up by Pep, great to see Lahm back at RB (I suppose?) and Javi will take care of Mesut (if he plays as DM?).

Anyways, gonna watch the Atléti match.

Not injured... perhaps it's still the sex scandal :p Although I doubt it, Giroud has just done very little this season to deserve a start imo, also he might be a little distracted. Sanogo is a bit more energetic, runs at defenders, links up well with the MF etc. Could be a good call.

If the guy would had made a couple of appearances and impressed at those - okay...
But you can't be much more of an unproven nobody at the international stage and don't forget who they are playing against. This is no Fulham or West Bromwich. This is the officially best team in the world. Anything less than 'perfect' will most likely result in (potentially catastrophic) failure for Arsenal.

But well, who am I to complain, when Wenger's decisions have a good chance of benefiting my favorite team? ;)

The game won't be lost because of Sanogo. He played against Liverpool, not Fulham or West Bromwich. And Giroud surely isn't "perfect" either. Of course it's risky, but not exactly fatal.

By that logic Chelsea was last years best team in the world

Please get your facts straight. Chelsea dit NOT win the CWC. And comparing the fashion of Chelsea's CL win with Bayern's is "bold", to say the least.

I put some money on Arsenal to win tonight excellent odds.

I reckon Arsenal will win 3-2 and Milan to beat Atletico 2-1.
