The team depth is great but I don't consider this Real term legendary in terms of play. The problem is that if they win that will be 3 in 4 years and first team back to back UCL. Those type of stats automatically put them in the convo for best team.

you get the point: the way of playing is important to mark football history
I add another point: national success......they're important to sign a team as "absolutely great"....it's not sufficient to win 3-4 games in CL during springtime, while doing bad at home all the year.

despite these years' Real M. have not got a typical mark football, they're anyway always an offensive team and not a specular one
And their numbers in Champions are getting very remarkable.
They've already got the status of legendary team. In Cardiff, we'll see at what level

ejuventus, I don't think you should lump Mou's Madrid, Ancelotti's Madrid, and Zidane's Madrid together like that. Zidane's Madrid is a very good side but they're not legendary and hopefully they will never be legendary.

ejuventus Just like Aletico Madrid earned the title " Real madrid's bitch" , in case you loose the final, i think it would be safe to say yall have earned the title "Europe's bitch" with all those lost finals. Do something about it please.

Imo this Real Madrid squad plays better than the original Galacticos around Zidane, Figo, R9, R. Carlos, Beckham etc. That team was considered legendary just for the names. This one however is a lot more succesful. So yes, of course they will remember it. Especially if they win another bloody CL now.

i agree but i am surprised this is even up for debate. the galactico real madrid won CL v juve on an offisde goal and the other two versus relatively naive (at the final stage) valencia and leverkusen. if i remember correctly, bayern had some 5 or 6 wins v madrid in the galactico period and the galacticos never won the league when they won CL and back then the league was 80-85 points tops. if it wasn't for barca, this madrid would be winning a lot more leagues. and it seems to be heading that way now that barca is not as strong as it used to be, though i hope that changes this summer.

I found the Galacticos to always be just a bunch of individuals, more like a showboating marketing product than a great team. The team underperformed greatly for the players they had. They had some moments of brilliance, but they wouldnt stand a chance vs the machines they field today. If the Galacticos are considered a legendary team, then the current Madrid should make the cover of a Real Madrid history book.

lol @ the idea that the galacticos were legendary. it was an iconic team, in the sense that it is widely remembered because it was star-studded, but it was hardly a machine. Ronaldo 9 never won a CL while he was with Real etc etc etc. That teamed is remembered for its roster, not its achievements.

Thank god I decided to give this match a miss. I knew Pathetico wouldn't do anything but disappoint. I'm sure most Barca fans saw that glimmer of hope at half time. The one positive is that they have lost to Barca and Pathetico in a short space of time; let's hope Juventus can take heart from that and finally cross the finish line.

Barca match is one thing, but no one cares that we lost this match. It doesnt mean much, if anything.

I agree that it doesn't mean much. It's just a matter of small mercies :p. Their confidence and Juventus' fear would have increased if they gave Pathetico another demolition...It isn't a big deal, but hey, I'll take whatever I can get at this point :p

3 CL titles in 4 years will be something else for real. Zidane winning back to back CL and one hand on the league title this season. Things are looking very good for them, and the depth of their squad is incredible too. Their midfielders and wingbacks are light years ahead of our squad. We need to make smart moves to compete. Atletico losing to Real in CL 4 years in a row is a big shame, it must really hurt the coach and players.

And still Barca are better than Real even this season. Real has no business being in semis after robbery of Bayern and are only first in La Liga because of helping hands. And what would that make? 1 Liga in a decade or so? Quite a dominance.
Head to Head and goal difference also add to Barca claim. And yeah, Messi making Bernabeu quiet was priceless.

So let's not pretend they are ANYTHING like Barca during our dominance. Because by counting cls without any context is like those mental cases comparing Cristina's Ballon's to Messi's and claiming they are equal players.

I think the soul of the team are offensive BBC, Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo
then, along the years, some other great players like Di Maria, Kroos, Modric, etc.

but they've been costant with theri 433 with BBC, and before Di Maria-Benzema-C.Ronaldo, with specially this player to have done them a typical style of playing
Managers have passed by, but their play has not changed a lot, as it has been for their results

I definitivly rate them an only one cycle

I can get some bitterness in your post
You're really scared about a possible b-2-b Real M's win

Your opinion is not correct.
To arrive up to the Final, instead of being eliminated in first rounds, is a sign of excellence.
If the runners up are "bitch", what to say about all the others eliminated before ?

Of course, as juventino, I know better than anyone the difference about winning or losing a Final, and we definitivly need to win this

I earlier specified that they're inferior to recent era's dominant Barça teams

I disagree that barca are a better team, real is a better functioning team but sometimes Messi makes too big of a difference and the odds will turn into our favor no matter the opposition (Neymar and Suarez also can do that when they decide to turn up). What I basically mean is real as a team is more balanced and has more depth and have alternative plans when things don't go their way. Their B squad is also good. Barca squad needs more work to be objectively better. This season barca are only winning matches because of individual performances by front 3, they are one of the best in the world. But as a team this is one of the worst seasons in last few years, the big defeats to PSG and Juve are clear indication of that. And not to mention some mediocre performances in la liga. We don't even have that many injuries to blame the bad matches nor do we have the most matches to blame fatigue. We are just a team without a proper structure, our season has been hot and cold. If we somehow win the league it is thanks to messi who is having one of the best seasons since his 2012 monster year.
