Hmm, I'd say that Madrid don't have a distinctive style like we do. They've kind of played in all sorts of ways. They play like a standard great team, so of course they have more weapons in their arsenal while not being as specialized in a brand of football. It can be debated if it's better to have a philosophy of playing or it's better to be free of that stuff and have the flexibility to alter the style to the point that it's not distinctive at all, or revolutionary in any way.

Good point. Indeed they didn't and don't have a style or better said a philosophy but they play exceptional counter football while being great at transition and also at defending against major opponents.
They indeed have a mix of tactics they employ depending on their opponent and imo it's much better and safer to alternate between more than one like we did under Lucho too.

Ours is bascially aesthetically superior, theirs is more practical and we have Messi, otherwise the difference would've been huge result wise. And that is imo a major issue for Barca's philosophy in the current football.

We didnt play Kroos and Modric, and even then they posed no real threat.
We are not a great side this season, PSG are just weak and thats that.

You were never great in any way shape or form since almost two dacades ago but blancos really don't care as long as they keep winning trophies, maybe that's why they are also called los plasticos or maybe is for the stupid bragging with past trophies they keep doing.

I think City would benefit from the tactics Madrid use at the moment.

I think atm City would score a few against Mierda in a tie but eventually get KO, for me it's a 80% chance of that happening had they met tomorrow.

Yea, for me our game is aesthetically superior. Actually that would be Barcelona's place in world football, the no1 edge that we have over all other teams. Our way of playing is our biggest brand. That is great influence over football, to have a world famous way of playing that others are trying to copy.

We're not as big as Madrid trophy-wise (doubt we'll ever be), and our biggest asset is not the number of titles we win, but how we play. Which is why I don't agree that everything should be sacrificed in order to stop Madrid from winning I don't know what, because we're different than Madrid and we should not try to copy them. The moment we'll lose what people still perceive as the Barca style, we'll lose our greatest asset imo.

Madrid doom and gloom can start after they eliminate some big contenders (City, Barca, Bayern etc..).

Not CL failure extrodinaires PSG.

You're welcome
How long has it been since Madrid got knocked out in the 16th final? No reason to immediately think they'll win it.

agree, winning and winning in style/with dominance has always been barca's calling in world football.

we have done the european double (La Liga/CL) all 5 times we've won the european cup/CL.

Meanwhile, real have won the league only 1 time in their last 6 CL wins.

I doubt anyone is going to catch madrid's legacy in europe. Milan were close for a while there but have fallen off the map.

Yea, and because we seek both this stylistical (how) and pragmatical (what) excellence, both simultaneously, we win less than Madrid overall, but when we win, they are just better more memorable footballing displays.

For me, a great degree of satisfaction comes from how you win. Not all wins are the same, and if we are to win the CL by luck, or by playing for draws or basically showing no desire to play attacking football, it would absolutely not feel the same.

PSg is pestilence of a club and i am glad they are out even it means madrid stays alive. The way they behaved and destroyed the whole transfermarkt is disgusting and they should have been banned anyway but i am ok with them loosing every year.
