Finally, an easier draw. Gets us the chance to integrate both Dembele and Semedo a bit more before facing the juggernauts awaiting us in the semi finals.

Now watch us get eliminated by Roma.

Thank God Sevilla won vs ManU. Now they have to focus on UCL too and we have a game against them just before the first leg. Both of the teams should just stroll around and save energy.

I was thinking of that too.

Tottenham vs Juve was great entertainment. Great series.

Referring to Real here for a reason.

Doesn't really matter if he's sharp if we can't get it on target. Basically depending on CR and Marcelo-Asensio-Lucas to play well to stretch Juve to limits like they did and supply appropriately. Not that worried about Dybala-Higuain. They can be clutch, but they don't turn up very often. Still, it can go tits up easily if we don't put the games to bed when dominating. And that dominance isn't guaranteed with all midfield being hot-and-cold all the time.

If Barca ends up with treble we could actually repeat the feat next season. Coutinho and Messi post-WC, better integrated Dembele.

Bayern and Barca should go through without too much trouble. Real Madrid will find it tough against Juventus, though are probably favourites.

Tie of the round has to be Liverpool vs Man City. There are gonna be a lot of goals in that one. Liverpool are the only team in England who can go toe-to-toe with City and win, so while City are favourites, this is far from a formality. As a neutral, I'm hoping Liverpool do it because I prefer teams with history to oil clubs.

Pretty boring draw tbh, but I am not complaining. For a neutral, there are no real big pairs. I still expect at least 1 big surprise coming up and one of Juve/Roma/Liverpool/Sevilla being in semis. Juve and Liverpool seem most likely.

Bayern-Sevilla
Barca-Roma
Juve-Madrid if this was a final Juve bottle it but over 2 legs? you never know
City-Liverpool worst possible draw for City

as i've said previously - a clasico final is on the cards. it is now or never for a messi vs ronaldo UCL final, and the bosses at uefa will not let this one slip. the two best players in the competition going head to head in a final :worthy:

It's best we took a break from the top teams until Semedo comes back. Makes me nervous with Roberto dealing with all the top fast wingers, especially frm Bayern, City and Liverpool. Roma however is very reliant on crosses and long passes in the middle, occassional transition to wingers but should be no problem. Pique and Umtiti will need to be extra alert and we need them to be fit.

Bookies have Barca as favourites for the CL.

Means nothing, we've been the bookies favourites almost every season since Pep arrived.

We were favoured against Inter in 2010, we went out

We were favoured against Chelsea in 2012, we went out.

We were favoured against Atleti in 2014, we went out.

We were favoured against Atleti in 2016, we went out.

We were favoured against Juventus in 2017, we went out.
