I think Liverpool would do serious damage to Real if they believe in themselves like Juve tonight, Bayern too.

Great point. Liverpool has grit and determination behind them to do it. I have a number of Scouser friends here in Vancouver and the passion in the City of Liverpool is impressive.

Also important to note that it was a duel for the ball, Vasquez wasn't controlling the ball nor did he have it in his possession. Again, very much like Suarez vs PSG. If you thought that was a penalty, I suppose this one was too.

Dont have to have ball in possession to get fouled.

i don't feel bad for juve, you can't afford to get beat up at your home grounds without scoring atleast one goal and go to bernabeu and try to overturn 3 goal deficit
ronaldo scores again and in the same time saves real, this will go well with his battle for 6th bdor

No referees anywhere do that but if player fouls like Benatia did most will give it.

Could say that about any genuine pen 'well refs dont give it for every push or pull'.

That is the thing I was hinting at, that there was no real pushing but merely contact. Player went down once he felt that contact in the back. On nearly every corner there is a lot more real pushing or pulling.

Might have been stupid by the defender to invite the dive, though.

This is a very questionable PK, not clear as some says. Benatia didn't push anyone checking the replay from different angles. He barely touched him with his right hand, and his touch didn't effect Lucas balance. The issue was Benatia raised his leg up to kick the ball but he couldn't, and instead, his feet pushed Lucas arms up, whether because of this Lucas lost his balance is considered a PK is questionable.

Ronaldo did NOTHING special entire game so stop exaggerating.

I call troll.

I didn't imply in the slightest that Ronaldo had an exceptional perfomance. Was simply the best in a very underwhelming Madrid side, if it wasn't for him Madrid would have been playing another 30 minutes now.

What did he do during the game other than diving?

A genuine question, I read stuff but did not watch the game.

That diving part could also be rephrased as winning valuable fouls for Madrid and yellow cards for Juve players. Had a couple of nice solo runs, was always a threat aerially with 5 aerial duels won. Sent Isco to a clear 1v1 vs Buffon with a through-ball who had to make a great save to deny him. Buffon had to make a couple of nice saves to deny Ronaldo's shots as well. In other words, he was pretty much Madrid's entire offense this game. I'm maybe also forgetting something atm.

I understand that people want to see his goal as a phenomenon of injustice. It's questionable whether there was a penalty or not (I think there was), but people are wrong if they claim that the only thing Ronaldo did today was score that penalty. He had a nice game.

Well done Juven for showing some fighting spirit.

Last year it was two offside goals this year it was a penalty. if there is any diety out there how does that white shit club always get lucky? What goes around comes around is it true any more?
Stuff like this makes you lose hope in Football, so many times Madrid have won late in the game, and the way Portugal won the Euro it makes you start question if they are cursed to succeed.
