Not feeling confident, we worse this season than last. People will say we are a different team in CL so it doesnt matter that we are shit domestically, but the moment we faced a quality team(Juventus) we barely scraped by, and Bayern certainly are not any worse.
This is going to be very difficult, and we cant just keep knocking out a club like Bayern forever.

If only we drew Rome, we are typically excellent in finals, more confident for those matches.

I agree, I would be delighted with bayern pasting real. :messi:

Coutinho, very good deal for Liverpool: 120Mio (160Mio with various clauses being met), without missing him, rather, they play better without him...

Not really confident about this one, James factor included. Obviously a win or draw is great, but a one goal loss with some away goals is a decent result heading back to the Bernabéu too.

Also, it seems the only people who think Real will dominate Bayern are either super negative cules or don’t really watch any La Liga. Yeah, Real have been playing much better in 2018, but we’ve had more than a few lapses, and our decisiveness in the final third has been questionable.

Still cant believe how barca could blow 4:1 lead against weakest opponent in this stage of CL

Just wow.

Well, I think this is Salah's season. With the way Barca played in the first leg and "walked" in the second leg of the QF, so Roma can go through I think all is set for this scenario to happen.

still has to win something. otherwise it's messi or ronaldo. and even then it will be hard for voters to choose salah with a CL medal over messi with an invincible season and a cup in the bag.

 Why is the invincible season taken for granted!? Real would do all they can to end that run of ours - And we still have Villareal Sociedad. I would say Depor and Levante are not exactly easy wins either. We would still have to fight

If someone claims that Real's performance in La Liga would reflect in their performance in CL - then they must be newbies!

This year's cl has clearly shown that you need more then technique, skill or first touch. You also need crazy intensity, strength and fitness. You need hunger and desire. Skills wise that Liverpool midfield is average at best same with the defense but their work rate is phenomenal. Always closing opponents down always makes moving.

I am still trying to figure it out. Even on our worst day we should be able to score ONE GOAL against Roma. That match was a cluster fuck of epic proportions.

Who knows maybe it saved us from even greater embarrassment against Liverpool.

I should have elaborated.

Historically speaking, not many teams have had iffy league form towards the end of the season and all of a sudden turn into CL winners. Real 2014 are an exception (along with Chelsea 2012 and 2007 Milan) certainly not the rule. To be specific, good league form at the right time, though not necessarily winning the league, appears to be more strongly correlated with doing well in CL. Just a quick calculation shows that over the last 12 years when the knockout stages begin, the team that ends up winning the CL, in total, has a win percentage greater than 2/3. Again, this does not mean league form implies success, there is just correlation there.

So, what I infer is that it would be preferred, of course not a requirement, to have good league form, as opposed to being indifferent on the issue just because Real have only won 1 Liga+CL in their last 3 CL victories.

The magnitude of our failure against Roma is becoming clearer and clearer with each passing day.

That game was probably the worst in our entire history.

Im just dreading the thought of Trent Alexander-Arnold trying to defend headers against cr150.

I hope Nathaniel Clyne starts in the final if Liverpool make it..otherwise it will be a field day for cr150 in the air
