Typical CL game where Real isn't playing well but are doing just enough they can hold the lead and possibly get one on the counter while the other team is being terrible and open.

You can do that when you score 5 away form home though.

Napoli one of the best teams in the world this season playing with many guys who were virtual unknowns until recently.

Lesson for our fans who think that this squad isn't good enough to go past CL groups and EL32.

Vini is playing full on because he knows that on Sunday he's gonna have a day off. :coffee:

It speaks volumes that we put araujo on rb just for vini but damn arnold is too slow for a rb. Guy has a good cross, couple of good freekicks and thats it. Defensive liability, too slow to go up and down. Guy sucks

They don't need to to be fair.

Also there's no way Napoli would do anything of note against Real.

So Klopp has Liverpool play in a lower gear, not commit everyone up top to press, because the prospect of Vini butchering them on the counter again scares the shit out of him
But that makes Liverpool toothless upfront. They might snatch a goal, but they can't sustain intense pressure on the opposition's box.

Makes you wonder at the same time, why he didn't adopt his more cautious approach after the 2-0 in the 1st leg

Klopp is rebuilding this Liverpool side. That's why they are blowing hot and cold this season. They should sell Alexander Arnold. Overrated clown who made his name courtesy of FC Barcelona.
Once they get Dias back and get two proper midfielders they will become much more consistent.

There's no excuses for Xavi this season. He got the players he wanted but blew it twice AGAIN. Our squad is good enough for CL quarters. Hes just happy beating la liga trash. That's his comfort zone.
