Probably the most surprising group stage in years. Juve, Barca and Atletico all dumped out from the competition. That didn't happen before at group level.

Portgual with a big chance to get through all 3 teams this year - fantastic achievement.

I hope Tebas is watching this. He happily said already that Barcelona will return next year to the 1:4 rule. Atletico also have problems with the FFP of Spain. It is simply necessary to drive the Spanish clubs down.

As a Madrid fan it was more likely that he celebrated with a carajillo and then spat on the floor of the bar before leaving.

They don't deserve Europe in general...


If Atleti board wants their team to move forwards they should sack Simeone first thing in the morning.
They should have sacked him years ago...

He should have been let go after those failed finals in the CL. Also Someone should have left.. it was perfect time for him to move on and take a new challenge.

Atletico didn't develop since then or Simeone, mistake for both sides imo.

Atletico made him the best paid coach though, understandable that he stayed.
