you never know, there is always a chance one of this teams go on a crazy run, it happened before.

Yeah but you don't expect it, last years in pl city, liverpool, chelsea were able to win the cl, in la liga around 2014-2017 atletico, barca, real but in Bundesliga you have only one team after the Klopp years at Dortmund. Bundesliga is not as bad as many guys here think but the fact of 4 bl teams in cl misleads about the real reality about the strenght of the league. Anyways, atm they are better than la liga and probably the second best league in the world but the gap to Pl is still big imo.

Bayern are going to go out in QFs or thereabouts.

Rest of the German teams in R of 16 unless favorable draw.

LL is absolutely terrible right now, but EPL is still considerably superior to Bundesliga (which may be the 2nd best league right now or at least in the mix with LL and Serie A).

If the final was to be played this weekend I'd definitely have Bayern winning it. They've won 9 of their last 10 games and playing some great football. Got 13 different goalscorers already and only 2 goals behind what they were with Lewandowski.

However as many have said, it's a long way to go. But usual suspects will be Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool, maybe City if they can finally get over the line.

La Liga's problems are evident as per their h2h record with Bundesliga teams this season.

Depends who they meet in the final, i would never trust PSG/City on such occasions anyway, but against more historic clubs its more 50/50.

This is true. I've heavily backed City to win it for the last 4 years or so, so not going to bother making that claim this time

On the contrary. If you keep backing them you'll be right soon. They just need Madrid to fuck up and they are clear imo. It's Madrid for individual quality, clutch-ness, experience and pedigree vs City for the quality of their football + this time an elite 9 in Haaland.

City's problem in this competition isn't us specifically.

I do not think that the strength of a league is defined by the top teams but the quality of the competition. And I do not think it is all about who wins the championship. I e.g. follow the whole league - I watch every Bayern match but usually atleast listen to the commentary of the other matches when I do something else and watch the highlights.

But - as Bayern fan I really know that - winning the CL is more about your run in form in March/April/May - until then it is just about staying in position in all competitions. If is not even who your opponent is in the competition as somehow all of the top team can on their day beat the others - or underestimate an outsider.

When I e.g. see the last 3 years for Bayern - 2019/20 ran smoothly from the time Flick overtook, 2020/21 Lewy's injury was bad against PSG - but ECM scored goals in both legs - but injuries of Goretzka and Gnabry were worse as we might have created more without them but did not have the power in the box without. And last season autumn ran smooth but after the winter break Nagelsmann experimented too much with his own ideas and somehow the team lost its flow with that. You can see that with the performance of every offensive player.

This season is a lot about how the teams get out of the World Cup and back into the competition. The smaller teams might have an edge in a lot of matches as they have a lot time in the World Cup break to work on their performances. And in most leagues there is no time to rest and prepare for the second part of the season. From the Bayern players there is nearly nobody who will not go to the World Cup.

Possibly but I'm not sure City as a whole are stronger this year despite Haaland scoring a bucket load. If they get 1 or 2 injuries their bench isn't far off being packed with kids.

Liverpool vs Madrid & PSG vs Bayern!

Also a good chance for Benfica and Napoli to have a deep run in the competition!
