They’re favorites against Atletico and Leverkusen. They’re already in 1/8.

They are certainly favorites against both.
But against LEverkusen we will see some game and Xabi Alonso who is top coach will come up with a good strategy

On the other hand, if they get Pathetico, this will be COMEDY gold!
Even in the old years when Pathetico were a top team, they would always bend over to them

Hopefully Pep doesn't fuck around with the XI in second leg. Nico will be fresh, Marmoush too. They both should start. Definitely better options than the deadwood in City's midfield. Also hopefully doesn't give any minutes to guys like Lewis...

Gvardiol is not committed to Man City as Croatia NT, seems to me.

Noone is there, this season. Some people keep complaining about players but look at that squad. We would kill for that depth.

Or look at Madrid's tonight's bench. It's laughable.

City will have trouble defending transitions whoever plays, they have been having this problem all season

But, yes, agree with you. If Nico is fit, he starts and Marmoush should start as well

There is no job Pep sees as a step up from here. His plan was always to stay at City and leave his legacy there.

Unless he gets emotional/drained and throws in towel he will be there for as long as he wants.
Yeah, years ago you told me you have some inside information from City, Pep is fully invested into the project.

He has to walk away from the project. City will never fire him, unless the club is sitting at the bottom of the table. The grand mission was fulfilled in 2023.

The high line Pep played tonight without the ability to press ahead of that was bizarre.

Would have been much better off holding shape deeper and getting as much pace up top as possible.

I was asking if there was any inside scoop on what has gone wrong this season and there was nothing to report.

He had been spending time in company of Soriano at end of last year and there was nothing.. other than slight feeling they mayve regretted the way Txiki left and the team was allowed to age a bit by end of last season when could have had a new Sporting Director with fresh ideas in to rebuild a bit long before that summer. Although it is very much Pep who rules roost and has final say.

Of course Soriano is not going to be mouthing off about if there is anything gone wrong inside either and in past its come from those in Peps company and with links to coaching staff etc.

Pep should really consider walking away at the end of the season. Should have frankly left last summer.

Sure he can stay and try to rebuild, but if that rebuild also fails.....

His Legacy in City will remain intact and as strong as it is. He lose nothing but time. It won't matter if it is 1 season or two.

There is not a job he wants more though and currently doesnt want to leave club football.

But he is also erratic and could make emotional decision on a snap.

City will pray they get by this season and he is invigoarted to go again and have a rebuild in way he hasnt had to in his career to date.
