Was watching Juve-Stutgart game and their substitute keeper, who wasn't even supposed to play these games, made like dozen of last ditch saves to keep game a live (luckily Stugart squeezed one in the end). It's amazing how every time i see some non-name keeper in mid tier euro club looks like Dino Zoff compared to anything we have. Would be 0-4/0-8 with Stegen/Pena for Juve.

Oh and Dortmund choking on limp dick again. Such a surprise. Good thing i don't watch these real matches anymore.
1.45 xg prevented from this random dude, has Ter Stegen, the according to many greatest goalkeeper itw at some point, ever come close to that in the Champions League?

TBH, I get the sense you would say something similar if they lost.

How?
Had they lost, they would wanna return with an emphatic Classico win and shush the critics.
More motivation, more things to prove, self-esteem hurt, and all that

Yeah well, Dortmund doing Dortmund things. I still don't rate Real though, they must and will get knocked out in the semi's.

By who? Don't see it. There's a shortage of top sides. Basically City or title again.

If we lose against real with their one trick pony wingers just running into the box it will be an absolute humilation.

Defenders from back in the day wouldn't let shit like that happen.

Going by the first few months of the season, this CL format is good and it could be up for grabs by anyone.

Better than the previous group stages where there's two obvious qualifiers and then cannon fodder to fill out the groups.

Oh lord, what the fuck did Juve do? I completely forgot about that match  Juve have themselves to blame, hiring Motta haha...

I said when they announced it that this could be good - it's true that teams don't play the same teams, so some sides get easier fixture lists. However, the way it works out - playing 8 teams once instead of three teams twice - adds more variety and more testing situations.

Contrary to what others think I don't mind the unseeded teams from 17th to 24th still being in contention either as it means fewer dead rubbers towards the end of the phase.

I know we are in the minority but I really like this swiss system. Football fans just dislike change often.

Mbappe in Vini's shadow in big games lolz, for how long? They wanted Mbappe to be the next CR but Vini is taking his place by the looks of it. Mbappe more like the next Benzema.

System is nicer as the old format got stale, but all the big teams are gonna go through the league phase, and then it's a home and away knockout system very similar to the old format.

One trick pony wingers are the best weapon against the high and slow defense of Barcelona. I already wrote in the next topic that it will be very difficult for us against both Real and Bayern. I do not rule out that we will lose with a big score. We will be much better when we have fast central defenders in the center of defence.

Yeah I prefer Vini to Mbappe too. I used to be a big Mbappe fan but the more people mention his flaws the more apparent they become to me. Still a top-class player but think Vini has better tight control in some situations.
