Dude, when Atleti has the same combined xG or less, this is not some achievement.

Parking 10 players in the box, and having no plan how to make them score is not some masterclass.
Rather a disastercalss

You understand that?

You understad that other than City, Atletico put out the best performance out of any team in the last 3.5 seasons in CL?

Discussion is about defensive performance. Other teams can obviously create (but also concede) more chances than Atletico did.

They missed one & oblak failed to save the a penalty most other keepers would have.

Alvarez situation is iffy, but they didn't help themselves after his penalty miss was wiped out by Vasquez missing.

Combined xG for Madrid vs Atletico is about 1.8 xG in 2 games + 30 mins of ET. They defended amazing. Don't think anyone gets close to beating those defensive metrics vs Madrid from the teams left in the competition.

So, the chance is for Arsenal (slim), or PSG (fair chance) to outscore them.

Reals attack are off form and thats exactly how they looked.

It is 8 goals scored in last 6 La Liga games v largely not great sides.

That was two stuttering attacks more than top defending could see it clear as day.

Not directly connected to AM defense? MSN also off form vs Atletico in 2016? Atletico defense at home is notorious under Simeone for more than a decade. Come on... obvious Simeone is a defensive genius.

No they didnt.

Even Dortmund in final were much better than Atletico today.

Again, it's not so hard to understand what I wrote:

when parking 10 players in the pen area with no plan/intention to attack. it's easy to record a low xG conceded
but it says shit

Because you have an ineffective plan in its totality in the first place

No, it's not. Also, they had plan to attack and this is the reason Madrid lost the match and the tie gone to penalties.

Bad/ineffective plan
they created very low xG
Even Gallagher's goal come from a lucky touch

Nothing to do with City when they recorded a very high xG against Madrid and at the same time did not concede high xG

Mate, this is about CL matches.

There recent form is relevant as they looked same as did in recent matches.

Also you igbore that the game was effectively a draw and they didn have to push for goals in way normally would when 1-0 down.

They tried to play in more patient way.. didnt work.

The rule is in place to stop you dribbling the ball forward.

This isn't an infraction if the second foot hits the ball while the other foot is still touching it, in one fluid action.

Basically no one is ever going to call this, unless you are looking for something to advantage Madrid over.

Been called plenty before. Any player could take advantage if double touch were allowed.

So did the opponent lol. It's called defensive oriented football. But then you thought City are gonna beat Madrid and they had a disasterclass.

The opponent was also bad dude

You don't understand.

This Madrid was there for the taking, and the best Simeone could do is defend
