The point is also what you mean by longevity. IT has to be more than years of coaching.
Mouringo has great longevity but is bypassed by football now

Ancelotti is dope as hell. Always rated him unlike el gato. Did have a moment of weakness yesterday where he said in response to the ref messing up that nacho goal should not have been disallowed then, which is absolute bollocks. But we all human after all.

Their defense actually holds up in high leverage games, while ours ships goals for fun to Girona. Part of that is Xavi and part of that is overhyped defenders who make too many schoolboy errors (like Araujo did v PSG).

Mourinho lasted about 10 years at the highest level, Ancelotti has done it for quite a bit longer.

I have SAF and Pep over Ancelotti though, because they are more consistent managers, but outside that, i'm not sure i have anyone else above him in the modern era.

There are many other good coaches, but they have their weaknesses too.

To be honest i think Ancelotti probably thought his days at coaching a top club were numbered when he went to Everton. He had started to get canned at clubs quite quickly and the level of club he was managing started to get worse.

Sacked at Napoli after replacing Sarri, did okay at Everton but no better than others that preceded him. He seems to have the right personality to manage big players though and there's no doubting his achievements.

I don't watch Bayern, but i really don't get why "everyone" there hates him so much.

Leading players themselves (including Robben Muller Neuer) spoke to Hoeness and Bayern hierarchy back then, and asked for a change
They couldn't stand the fact that their training sessions under Carlo involved so little work (tactical and otherwise)
They are used to coaches that do work in training

Surprised you rate SAF this low, and its not just his time at United either, what he did with Aberdeen was really impressive.

Don't think so one bit. I think he simply wanted to keep himself busy while waiting for another big chance, unlike others that take time off.
