This has been a perfect week so far, all the big names won and we are building up to one epic quarter final round

Next week I hope Barca passes through along with Arsenal and Dortmund .. and whichever of the two remaining scumbag teams bite the other more fiercely (Inter vs. Atletico)

Already is with all due respect.. on par with the Italian league now.. English league is at a different level and German is consistently inconsistent jumping up and down in comparison to La Liga
Germany isnt that inconsistent. Or rather that's not it.
They're rather regularly banter quality open 'soccer' full of athletic quality that lets them compete vs teams with much more technical base in 2-legged rounds, but lack lots in way that stops them from getting any serious results against bigger sides. Nagelsmann spell at Leipzig was about the only ray of sunshine in sea of shite and even their best CL campaign was a result of single-legged Covid format
Eintracht vs Barca was more of a headcase thing for the latter than quality for the former. Scraped through group with terrible Conte Spurs and got absolutely walloped by Spaletti
Will see how Xabi does if stays next year as has a more well-rounded team, but will really need depth to stick performing in 3 comps

If anything Italy are outperforming previous years though teams are suffering from transitioning from Juventus dominance to now every team treating Scudetto as a peak of their effort (since it's actually within reach now) rather than journey to consistent class
Inter stopped being a banter side in Europe known to choke everything
Milan rode luck with Zlatan influence in locker room but still respectable quality though I dont rate Leao at all
Napoli despite obvious still relatively threatening

Arsenal if they win against Porto vs Real would be also tasty, when was the last time we saw Arsenal vs Real in cl??
In 2005/2006 season Arsenal knocked Madrid out 1-0 on aggregate in CL. Yeah, it might be indeed a nice clash atm but my gut feeling is telling me not to trust Arsenal in a KO tie vs. Madrid.

Extremely difficult for us to progress IF we reach the Quarter unless we get the Dortmund/PSV winner or Porto manage to cling on for dear life away to Arsenal.

Lol, you seriously think we can get past Dortmund?
And it would be more embarrassing that it will be vs Dortmund

We are getting axed by everyone.
The best think now is to get narrowly eliminated vs Napoli, and save some face

PS: Where are the Madrid fanboys to praise the CL machine that got outplayed in a knockout game at home vs Leipzig

I was erring whether or not to put Dortmund on that list, considering their speed and Xavi dismal performances against German sides in his stint.

Which says it all, because we should roll them with tactical aptitude.

Interesting to note that Napoli, ourselves and Porto all play tonight, while PremierLeague having given Arsenal the 18:30 slot tomorrow.

It shouldn't matter too much given the gulf in quality between Porto and Arsenal but you never know. If Arsenal go out then they should ask serious questions to the EPL.
