Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool - FC Barcelona 4-3 agg.

Let's be honest, we would have lost 5-0 if Dembele had scored.

Had he scored, nothing would have been different.
Imagine: Barca don't concede that childish goal that made the difference...
Then it would have been 3:3 and extra time for 2x 15 min.
Barca in that particular evening probably would have lost by 0:6 if more time given to Liverpool.

And I'm sure everyone of us knew we were going to lose when that first goal went in.

Some of us probably, but - sorry to say - I had really bad feelings after the first leg was won (because Liverpool was much better even in the Camp Nou), I had worse feelings before the game, and after the first goal everyone with slight objective tendencies knew it was over. The last goal was just what it was...

Football is a strange game. Despite all the statistical facts underlying outcome predictions, actual results prove that anything can happen.
Yesterday an experienced well-rested team led by the workd's best player lost to a "tired" opponent that had to play its third tough game within 6 days.
The tired team had to replace some top players with reserves but still came away with a huge victory, crushing the highly regarded opponent.
The tired team was covering more ground, running faster and able to out-muscle the technically superior opponent.
They won most one-on-one individual encounters, anticipating passes better and intercepting passes better.
The well-rested team had at least 4 chances with high quality players (Messi, Suarez, Coutinho, Alba) facing the GK inside the box but could not score a goal.
The tired team took advantage of mistakes committed by some of the most sure-footed defenders, and their replacement players finished their chances ruthlessly, even succeeding to make one of the top GK's look bad. Ter Stegen looked like de Gea, making mistakes and performing far below his usual level.
If even one of the 4-5 "sitters" had been converted, it would have been enough.
However, it was not to be, the tired team kept on trying and even enlisted a ball boy to seal the fate of their celebrated opponents.
It's still difficult to grasp what happened, it still feels unreal.
But it's too late to change things. Heads may probably roll, what happened will surely have consequences.
If the tired team wins the huge European trophy, their best player, VVD, may even win the Ballon d'Or, although the current front runner - before this match - had one of the best years of his life.

After a day if rest and cooling all I can say is:
Worst feeling after 1994. Athens final.
Same clear case scenario. I can see it just like yesterday. We will walk in a park. That Savicevic goal and that Origi goal. Same fuckin shit.

But this is even worse. Because that was one game. A final. And it was like all or nothing after initial shock.

This shit yesterday. That is worst thing I have seen since that 1994. game. Surrender. Clueless. Heartless. Panicked. Scared.

Out of 11 players only 2 can watch themselves in the mirror. Messi and Vidal.

All the others should realy have the balls to come out and say, here is my "head"... If you want it.

Such disgrace of an sacred crest.

Shamefull. And it will follow them for the rest of their lives. Yes, they were there at the Anfield. They.

this was our golden chance to win CL and this failure probably killed all the future chances of success in atleast 3-4 more seasons

The reality is that we got mugged off by some bums. We had it all on a plate and we surrendered disgracefuly.
They were motivated and have an excellent coach in Klopp, but fuck me they are mostly a bunch of overperforming mediocre players. Fucking Origi is a Prince Boateng level player. Matip? Milner? Henderson?
The more I think about how we fucked it up, the madder I get. Fair fucks to them for believing in their chance and persuing their objective until the end.

They are multi-millionaires with lifestyles you and me can not even dream of. Moreover, they are worshiped as demi-gods or superheroes. Young and beautiful women want to suck their dicks. They did not even make it out of high school.

Yes, we should feel for them.

So true.

They deserve our contempt. I am a working class stiff who has to perform daily or I get fired. I do it to put food on the table for my family. Fuck me if I'll feel sorry for these overpaid frauds. We should feel for people like cops, nurses and other important jobs where they are paid nothing and still do a great job day in day out.

Love Barca and football but fuck these overpaid cockriaches.

Preach brother. Amen.

How can you say anything idiot?

Messi was rolling round on the floor like a bitch in the first leg and buskets is probably the worst for diving/faking injury in football.

There is a video of an empty plastic bottle going into the middle of a group of your players during a game one time and about 6 players fall to the floor screaming. Your team is full of pussys that is your problem. You got destroyed by a superior team now get over it. You cant say nothing when your team rolls round like little girls but moan when another team is unsporting.

Your petition as idiocy is ahead of everyone. It's Liverpool!

Watch loserpool poop their pants against madrid next season
I'm calling it right now

people said that we were overconfident, but i don't buy it. madrid went balls out in the last 3 years and never gave a fuck. teams were even scared of them. when you are a serial winner that should be the mentality. sure you might suffer, you might get lucky, but in the end you can't bottle it like that, if your barcelona or real.

we just shit the bed, complacency at it's finest.

As a Liverpool fan reading LFC7 I just had to register and give my 5%.

I'm norwegian so excuse my poor english.

When I grew up I always considered Barcelona to be the spanish "Liverpool", while Real Madrid was the spanish version of "Manchester United". I have no idea why. Probably because every United fan was supporting Real Madrid as their second team due to them winning in that specific period of time. You know, some fans just pick the current number 1 as their team.

Anyway, this made me support Barcelona to some extent. Later on I've been to Barcelona on noumerous occations, and even watching random matches in 2010-2012 where the team was by far the best team in Europe. Definitely my favourite big city in Europe as well. Friendly people all over the place and a purely a beautiful city. Compared to Paris I would say the reputation Paris has got as a nice city is a huuuge fraud after visiting Barcelona.
However, back to football. Ive been on several matches with Liverpool. 2005 in Istanbul etc, but for me the match that really stands out is the one we had at home against you in 06/07 when we lost, but went through on away goals.
This game made me respect Barcelona fans so much. The pre-match build up was something I have never ever experienced before or after this match. We sung together in the pubs before the match as friends and had mutual respect for one another and the whole sequence was so friendly all over the place. "Luis Garcia drink sangria etc". Seriously one of my best experiences as a Liverpool supporter ever.

After the match Barcelona fans was behaving top notch even being eliminated. Watching some of my fellow fans behaving like shit last week in Barcelona it makes me embarrassed. They are truely a minority.
In recent years the transfers of our best players to Barcelona have made the bond between the clubs worse and some Liverpool fans seems to forget that football is hierarchy. For South Americans Barcelona will always be one of the two biggest clubs in the world. Deal with it and move on. Tbf we got overpaid as well, so why this random bs anger?

I can to some extent understand why LFC7 felt cheated at Camp Nou. Like, we did not expect Suarez to celebrate or behave like he usually do, against us. Since most of us value him as one of the absolute greatest players ever to have played for Liverpool and somehow thought he had greater feelings for Liverpool. But then again, this is how Suarez have been all his life. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand that this is the way he will be on the field against anyone. We are still licking our wounds after Suarez and Coutinho though. I believe thats what it is all about when it comes down to when some Liverpool fans now suddenly behave like pieces of shit against Barcelona.

Liverpool acted the same amount of scummy against Barcelona at Anfield anyways. Usually Liverpool plays really fair so I have no problems admitting Liverpool players being douchy yesterday.

And yet again the traveling Barcelona fans was behaving classy as few other, even though botteling for the second year straight. Respect and fair play to you guys. Best of luck next year. "Form is temporary, class is permanent".

Whatever you say there is true.

But, there's a huge difference between an unlikely event, and an impossible event. What happened last night was unlikely, but was possible, especially considering Barcelona's away form in the CL for some time now. We have been a lion at the Camp Nou, but a kitten away.
