Liverpool won't park the bus. That will help Barcelona attack

Liverpool parked the bus against Porto and away scored 1 goal from the offsite.
Liverpool midfielder Sadio Manet shared his emotions after the winning match with Porto.
“It was hard. Everyone was scared on the bench. But the team spirit has done its job. We started to push and finally scored. When I scored, I thought that I was offside, to be honest. Was surprised by the decision of the arbitrator. It was an important goal, but the most important thing is that we reached the semifinal, ”the official UEFA website cites Mane.

Because Juventus winning would basically mean ronaldo winning another ballon d'or and that would be unbearable to see him surpass messi despite being a worse player. PSG are basically our second biggest rival nowadays, besides taking Neymar, they have several times tried to lure our best players away, and our relationship in general with them has developed to be a rather hostile one. Not to speak that the club like city and chelsea by many had unfair competitive advantages to other clubs, and winning titles should be earned by effort not splashing millions of euros like it was pocket money. I would anyday see clubs like liverpool win the champions league than city, chelsea, psg and juventus (because of ronaldo).

Yours is a silly brand of idealism.

All the teams that are competing at the top level are spending crazy amounts of money. Yes, PSG & City don't have a great history, but that is secondary. If Liverpool win this, they will be one CL ahead of us, if we win, we will be one CL ahead of them and at touching distance from AC Milan, this is much more serious for Barcelona as a great European club.

Here we go, the only thing EV apologists can say is "there are results", whats the point to even write anything? Our football is pathetic, and we got knocked out by Roma last season, this season we haven't faced a serious opposition yet, Lyon and MU are the luckiest road to semis possible. And it makes complete sense that people don't want this defensive 0 chasing even if we win a treble, Ajax are playing more attractive football than us, stop acting like you're blind and everything is perfect.

Well, the argument about "style, values and identity" I can understand, even though I disagree with that we should aim for ajax-football when all our core players are 30 or above. Its not possible, and if we had your way, we maybe even wouldnt be play tonight. So anti-ev-fraction can basically be divided into three points: 1) "style & identity" 2) youth-development and 3) incompetence in regard to player-management, tactics, rotations etc.
Several times has it been explained why Valverde has taken a more pragmatic approach: aging core, weak squad-composition, messi-hybrid, and finally results > aestetic. The second point is purely speculation because he already managed to succesfully integrate arthur, lenglet, and dembele into our starting line-up. at age 22, 22, and 21. Alena, Puig, Hallilovic, Samper, and who knows who fans have demanding to play, are not good enough if we want to compete in all three competitions. In Barca you need to earn your place, la-masia boy, young talent or not.
In the third point is just, sorry, plain stupid. as said, results is the best way to determine the results of the managers decision-making. And stats say he has the lowest defeat-rate in barca-history, one game vs roma doesnt change that. Nobody says everything is perfect, but things are pretty good.

Its about net-spending, Lfc hasnt spend close to those three clubs. City, chelsea and psg are the three main reasons why football has become more about money than anything else.

I dont see that viewpoint to be fitting, but if thats they way you see, fine. PSG is imo a much bigger threat to our club than liverpool. As said, they have already taken neymar from us, arguably mbappe, skyrocket the price of de jong and almost taken him if it werent for barto, tried to pursued messi, segio and xavi also, and probably other players i dont recall right now.

read in some twitter feed that klopp will go quite defensive and let barca the ball for the most of the time while defending in a 4-5-1.

you think that could be the case? imo he will switch between crazy pressure and sitting deep.

.This is a great matchup. Can't wait to see how the Barca high-line defense fares against quick-hitting Liverpool, this is the ultimate test of the Barca approach.

I do hope that Valverde uses some of the excellent depth as subs. Barca has a significant depth advantage over LP. Maybe Suarez should come off today.

Liverpool will not be able to deal with the Barca offensive talent, Barca will do well enough to contain the LP attack.

Liverpool's transfer spending is not far off. This season they spent £164m which dwarfs City's £69m. The season before that they spent £156m although they sold Coutinho for £120m. City spent £286m that season. £330m vs £355m over last 2 seasons.

Biggest problem here could be our style...I mean RM beat this L'pool team with ease and we are better than RM but football doesn't work like that. RM can soak pressuer, long balls, through balls, cross, jump... my main concern is that they are exactly our antivenom.

If Salah got injured and Alisson plays like Karius in last year final, yeah we can beat them with ease regardless our style.

You did notice me writing "net-spending", right? Im aware that LFC has spend a lot, but that is money which was earned by scouting, buying and developing worldbeaters which afterwards were sold for astronomical amounts. LFC business-model since the new owners took over, is first class and by no means can be described as unfair competitive advantages like when PSGs owner pay neymars release clause by making him ambassador, or providing unreasonable amounts of money through shady sponsor deals.

Yes idiot, they could have won 2-0 Tote were so bad.

1-0 = 1 foot in the final? Laughable.

Team that has torn through qualifying and knocking out every big team even away from home via naive tactics. Someone is an idiot alright

You don't understand English properly or you have a poor reading comprehension. Do you know there is a difference between 'Some naive aspects to their play' and 'naive tactics' full stop? Read the two back slowly and try to understand the meaning. So again, you're an idiot.
