Messi is simply out of this world.

Did NOT like Valverde's 2nd half approach. The Semedo sub was excellent but the game was begging for Dembele's pace on the left and he should have came on sooner. We showed our defensive class tonight however, Liverpool only had 2 chances really you'd expect them to take and while they had their moments, our experience and the goat came through.

Perfect result to take to Anfield. Even if they start fast with a goal, they still have a mountain to climb and they know what we can do on the counter now. Just remember Roma and we got this, I'm sure we are through though. The players won't let this slip after Roma last year and being so close to a final against two exciting, respectable but beatable teams from our perspective.

3 games to win until our third fucking treble! Madrid's success finally gets to be put to bed by the PROPER kings of Europe.

One more time though, Lionel Andrés Messi Cuccittini. Soak him in, everyone. :redbeard::redbeard::redbeard:

2 games to win. One win over Valencia and one win over Spurs/Ajax.

We can lose 4-1 at Anfield and still go through.

It's a little similar to 3 - 0 vs Real Madrid in the copa del rey 😂 We played quite shite but won quite convincingly 😂 Luck on our side this season.

Klopp has to decide now if he wants to go for the Premier League or for an attempt to defeat Barça by 4 goals (assuming Barça scores an away goal). If he plays Newcastle with his best team, the players will be too tired to turn it around against Barça next Tuesday. But even if he beats Newcastle, Man City will probably win the PL. A great season for him but probably no title.

What do you mean assuming Barça scores an away goal? If we do then Liverpool will need 5 goals.

Liverpool has a key match vs Newcastle 3 days before the Anfield game to worry about.

While we already won the league we can rest some peeps vs Celta.

Yeah, I'm not worried about the 2nd leg at all because Liverpool are going to need to go all out against Newcastle, they are going to be knackered come Tuesday. And if they end up drawing or losing against Newcastle and thus losing the league to City, their confidence is also going to be in the toilet.

I disagree. Liverpool were *a bit* unlucky to go 2-0 down, but after that were very lucky not to concede another 4.

This is the simple truth.

Man, if he sticks around at the TV studios in CL Wenger is gonna be the best football pundit in the history of punditry. He is spot on with his analysis. Great football mind.

No, it was not luck. It was quality.

Suarez's shot for his goal was unbelievably difficult. He may be the only forward in the world who could convert that opportunity.

The second goal resulted from some wonderful close control and passing. Both of these goals required superb off the ball movement, much better offensive teamwork than what Liverpool showed.

Was Messi's freekick lucky? How about those saves by Ter Stegen?

Liverpool looked good a lot of the game, I give you that. The Barca defense got beat many times, but every time did enough in the end. But not when it counted. LP could not finish, and they could not stop the Barca attack.
