Meaning he's great at doing his job because others are great at doing their jobs and so on. He's not asked for more than that, because that is enough for a well-drilled team that is properly assembled and managed. If he was in a flawed team full of holes, people would say how he doesn't dribble like Messi and crosses like peak Beckham, all while getting back in time to defend like Cafu.

Exactly - and the easy comparison is Sergi Roberto.

I say we wait a bit. Pep brought his supreme A game in CL finals in the previous 2 occasions. Never saw more one-sided finals in CL than 2009 and 2011.

2009 looked dire until Eto'os goal tbh
But I think Pep has an excellent final track record overall? Obviously 2/2 in CL
