Baldy better win with this.

I think he thinks before every game, and it works most of the time
HUGE balls though to take responsibility and have a bit of a strange setup in this game - it would be so, so easy to play a more predictable lineup and hide from possible blame.

I'm not sure benching Fernandinho is the right call chief

This. Call me crazy, but I'd be surprised if Chelsea doesn't abuse City's defense today with quick counters. Sure, City will be all over them but there's no player in the midfield who thinks defense first. We see with Barca when Koeman goes all attack. The team falls apart.

Not loving the lineup. Actually hate it.

Like someone said, Pep wants to win in style. This game could go 5-0 to City or something like 2-4 to Chelsea.

I don't think Pep is stupid. He must have seen something during their last couple of matches he think he can exploit with this lineup.

Dude looked so confident in his press conferences. Maybe he thinks he found the winning formula. Sterling to draw their CBs out of shape with his pace and movement and then have Foden exploit the space left behind, something like that maybe.

Odd choice to replace Fernandinho who did great vs PSG with Sterling who did the opposite for months. Maybe Pep is seeing something in Sterling for this match based on trainings and such, because the man has been really bad this season.

He is not stupid but this lineup screams bit overconfidence to me

He believes he will just run over Chelsea

Very curious to see how this works out. I hope it works!

Sterling replacing Fernandinho. Sorry Pep. I think you?ve over thought it again.
Chelsea to score first and second. Pep then brings in Fernandinho or Rodri to bolster the defence and try and win the game back.
I hope I am wrong.

Also, people speaking about defense, this City team defends with 11. And I mean really 11. Nobody is exempted since they dropped Aguero.

Maybe he is too confindent on this one, just like he was vs Madrid while at Bayern and later admited he got the tactics wrong.
