I miss most is Messi’s long diagonal passes and aerial through balls. He’s is good at them and he can really do damage with them at PSG. So I’m sort of perplexed why he isn’t,

If he didn't touch the ball first there that's a red card challenge. But then again City should have had a penalty so...

I've always thought what separated Messi from Maradona (both have their strengths as GOATs obviously) is Maradona's ability to thrive in chaotic situations/play.

Messi is basically the most dominant player there is when there is clear, defined play (like a Pep system for example) and has good to great teammates. But he kinda looks lost otherwise (like with Argentina in the past and now with PSG).

Maradona wasn't as dominant individually with a good to great team...but he was really good when there was no system in place either.
