United are being spared a humiliation at the hands of Liverpool or Bayern if they made it to the next stage. Better off focusing solely on their slim chances at top 4.

That Gravenberch guy is pretty good, can see why Bayern wants him.

Alot of interesting players at Ajax.

Interesting is their back 3 (two CBs and most defensive midfielder in Edson) that they are all fluid and can play CB, DMC and fullback.

All system players but more worthy of us watching Ajax closer now than before as we too are now a system team under Xavi, and not a tactics team as under Koeman and Valverde.

And Ajax matches closely with Xavi vision.

Btw, Jordi Cryuff in the crowd. Ajax want him to replace Overmars. I wonder what people will tjink of that who claimed Jordi didn't have the credentials to be a sporting director like Overmars.

Ronaldo stinker so far.

Replay of the 1st leg now. Two possibilities. Either Atletico hold on to the 1-0 this time (and maybe even score another one in a counter) or United or most likely CR score and take the game to overtime and possibly penalties. Wouldn't count him out yet, especially since Atletico love nothing more than to shit their pants against him when it gets real.

Too bad Atletico have the big flaw of not exploiting the counter opportunities when they lead. It's pretty much close shop and park the bus with nothing to show for on the break.

They always seem to be in a place where they have little to no margin of error.

Rashford has been absolutely atrocious this season.

Sancho been better recently and upped his level but being better than Rashford is no great praise.
