Champions League

Now that we're out of the Champions League, who does everyone want to win the whole thing?

For me I guess it'd be Paris, Chelsea or even City (even though they're perennial chokers in the CL. At least Paris have made a final.)

Would be cool to see a new name on that beautiful trophy.

Porto or Dortmund for me, though that is quite unlikely.

I would like it if Bayern didnt win it, PSG/City would be annoying too.

Who was the last first time winner? Chelsea 2012? Think it was them.

Was looking at the bracket for 2005-2006, the first time we won the trophy during the Champions League era. NONE of the quarterfinalists that season made it to the same stage this season. Football has defo changed in many ways.

Mostly for the better, hopefully.

Aren't you a Madrid fan mate? Why wouldn't you want them to win? They're still very much in it (even though I'll be rooting for Atalanta for obvious reasons).

I mean except us, of course.
Porto because they are a decent club(and they have Pepe), Dortmund because Haaland.

Just goes to show that football, the beautiful game that all love, very much has a mental facet. Had a funny feeling Messi would miss that penalty. He just didn't look comfortable facing Navas. Had too much time to think about it.

That's the beauty bout the truly GOAT players like Messi. They do everything instinctively on talent. When they start to think about it, they seize up and mess up.

There's a reason why they say that the truly great players always miss penalties. Baggio etc.
