England has a lot of great players coming up but it will amount to nothing if Southgate remains the NT manager. Regarding your question, we are interested in "cheap" players because we have no money (buying Haaland is, for now, a dream, we need to sell first). English players move for obscene amounts of money and rarely they do abroad, so it's natural that their threads are relatively quiet. Also it's a Barcaforum, I watch 1 PL game in a week at most, for example.

English players are total disaster playing in foreign clubs, while foreigners who play in the PL dominate the league for decades now. You've been playing Football Manager too much.

English players have not been a disaster abroad and vast majority of the top ones dont want to bar maybe Barca/Madrid if option came up.

English and foreign players have dominated the EPL and of course foreign players will have huge impact when spending so much money and picking players from any country. To compete equally would have to have multiple world class players in every position from England which no country has.

Price and quality do tend to correlate, but not always, but it certainly show that English clubs have more money to spend.
