Careful. Porto/Dortmund in the Quarter-finals, then anything is possible. Don't want to go down this road.

The only possibilites are RM getting destroyed 1-4 by Bayern or 2-5 by City.

Besides, your license to comment on CL has been stripped after that Bayern - Barcelona mauling and Ney's disappearing act v Bayern in the final.

This ^^. Especially RM. I want to see them get blitzkrieg'ed by a proper team. They have 0 shot at CL.

Especially Atletico. Pl fanboys would cry us a river.

:koeman:

Them advancing would make us be in a better position for La Liga. They'll both get hammered in the next round if they get a decent team.

City can lose to anyone and so can any team left in this edition's CL to be fair. The level of play is not that high. Football is a funny sport, I would not write off Madrid. Hell, had we not shite our pants in the 1st leg against PSG, I'd give us a shout as well.

As for my previous predictions, take away my license, then the board might as well be shut down as most have worse histories.

Madrid should have to play their CL matches at the Wanda or some other proper stadium. I cant believe we're having to watch a KO match at that dump.

I have a good feeling about tonight's match. I think Atalanta will win. Casemiro's absence is huge since Real really don't have a proper substitution for him. Zidane is rolling a 3 atb just like he did against Elche. After he switched back to 4 atb, Real started playing better. Before that they looked clueless. I think the same can happen tonight.

The best scenario for us is that both Atleti and Real qualify though,so that they cannot properly focus on La Liga.

Not quite. Looked quite good defensively in own half in 3-5-2, didn't know how to press properly. Attack also looked a LOT more purposeful than in 4-3-3 which was only seemingly more threatening because a) team is used to it; b) more urgency as a goal down; c) opponent playing without the ball all game long and getting tired.

3-5-2 makes sense to get more men in the box elsewise it's just a cross game to a lone striker as even wingers often stay wide and don't know how to move. Also no Isco this time so hopefully slightly better at the #10 position albeit Modrić isn't exactly a speed demon.

The worry today is that you still have 2 of 3 in midfield who aren't used to doing that much vertical running. I think Kroos might end up playing pivot.
