2016: Best Barca ever against a very beatable Atletico, choked badly

2017: Draw against a strong but beatable Juventus, got trashed 3-0

2018: Draw against Roma,a EL level team,managed to bottle a 4-1 lead

2019: Draw against United at the QF,which was an average team at best. Then got lucky and won 3-0 against Liverpool, even though the match was pretty balanced. Even then,we managed to lose 4-0,despite their two best attackers being injured

Please people, don’t talk about RM’s “luck”...

The reigning EPL champion and 2019 CL winner is some " random team" ? make it make sense please.

Yes, we have reached the point where many(most?) people in here view Liverpool as a lucky draw for RM.

This place has become a parody of itself.

Cm'ooon, it's not 19/20 Liverpool,
it's Liverpool 20/21 with a relegation EPL side CB pair

No, its clear what this is about, we both know.

If you want to cry about a side getting lucky draws, look no further than City, but i know you wont, cause Saint Pep.

This prediction might turn out poorly but I think Bayern-PSG will be the most one sided of all the ties in Bayern's favor.

Barca's last CL KO, LFC(won confrotably), Bayern (sextuple team), PSG/Bayern(had they qualified)

Madrid's : Ajax, City(which was not a big deal in CL ever under Pep till now) and a crippled LFC of ~30 points behind City.

These are some elite mental gymnastics. If they had you in the Barca team we would have never choked those ties.

You can say so about City, but apparently it does not end up in them winning any CLs.
Contrary to RM, where the draw has played major role in the recent past in them winning.

PS: Plus, they usually stop getting lucky draws in the quarters. Like Liverpool 2018, Tottenham 2019, and they got RM 2020.
Now it's the first time they are set to face tough opponent only in the semis

At the risk of sounding like a RM fan (which I assure you I'm not):

They faced Napoli (meh, agreed), Bayern (strong), AM (strong), and Juve (strong) in 16/17.

And then, they faced PSG (strong), Juve (strong), Bayern (strong), and Pool (not their peak but still a dangerous side) in 17/18.

In fact, RM 17/18 probably had the joint toughest or second toughest CL KO draw ever along with Barca 14/15...where we had City (strong), PSG (strong), Bayern (strong), and Juventus (strong).

All of that RM luck narrative is because of 15/16 where they did have Europa level draws to the final...but so did Bayern in 19/20 (yes Barca was Europa level last season in actuality).
