When you are in the moment to enjoy football, yes, those things you mentioned are what matter the most. I was talking about bragging rights. Decades from now few would care about who was the best club in which decade from what ranking agency etc., people measure how successful clubs are by how many trophies the clubs won.

Also I am not talking about gloryhunters or fans who decide to follow club football and say, “hmmm... which club should I be a fan of? Let me see which club has the most trophies. Real Madrid! Bayern! “ etc.

Imo bragging rights should be left strictly to how good a current club/team is, how it plays and what it wins in the present moment, not what happend 5-10-50 years ago or even more in some cases. It's so stupid to do so unless you were a member of that team/t club, someone who was part of the club that won those cups.

Prestige, or past/historical record matters to a lot of fans, if not most.

You do understand jack about footbal, don't you? Have you ever watched PL? It's not about the names of the team but more of how they play in the current season where LFC is way weaker today than it used to be while City looks stronger, even though in CL that might not translate into winning the trophy it is still a indicator, one of the few.

Again, you're having trouble staying consistent with your OWN logic. City was an "easy" draw for Madrid just 7 months ago because they were behind Liverpool in the League, but PSG was a tough draw for Bar?a this year despite trailing behind mighty Lille for most of the season???? insanity. PSG are hot garbage this year yet you had no issue counting them as a tough draw for your team.

And more importantly, in this particular subject we talk about Madrid, why do you even brought up Barca in a discussion about Madrid draws?

Is this a joke? I brought up Barca because YOU'RE the one who brought it up and made the comparison:

Barca's last CL KO, LFC(won confrotably), Bayern (sextuple team), PSG/Bayern(had they qualified)

Madrid's : Ajax, City(which was not a big deal in CL ever under Pep till now) and a crippled LFC of ~30 points behind City.

Am I getting trolled here? no way this is a real person and not some parody account.

really disappointing stuff.... as far as annihilating PSG is concerned, anyway.

wont break messis 50 league goals record.

Honestly doubt he was going to reach 50 in any case. Mueller's record might be out of reach too now. It's a shame, for sure, but he'll be back. If he returns in the 4th week he'll still have 4 matches to get 5 goals to equal the record or 6 to break it.

In any case, don't think it's the worst thing that could have happened. Someone like Kimmich or Neuer missing would have had a worse impact IMO.

i dont doubt that, but theres no denying missing lewa is a hit.

i just want psg to get absolutely stomped thats all

In the very unlikely event that Bayern gets knocked out it would be great for me. :) Don't care about PSG, even if they get past Bayern they will get knocked out eventually.

Why would you want that as a Barca fan? Bayern is arguably a much bigger rival. They are also the team that can potentially close the gap to CL trophies with RM much faster than we can. PSG has ZERO CL's and have never been a big threat to Barca. Most of this forum probably won't even be alive once they reach 5 CL's.

Not the op but for me, Bayern are a great club who deserve their success, they have earned it and I respect that. I don't care if they get to a 7th Champions League, good for them, they have never been a problem for Barca off the pitch. PSG on the other hand have been a problem for Barca and also the little issue of being given billions by Qatar and I would hate to see them or City win the Champions League.

because i dont like PSG at all, that's why. im not a bayern fan, either, but i really want to see PSG stomped. bayern has already surpassed us in terms of CLs and look much more likely than us to continue adding to that.

why would we want real, our arch rivals, to have no competition in the CL? it sure wont be us, not for a while anyway. i could understand that view maybe if 1) we dont want an uber arrogant bayern and 2) if we want Spain overall to remain supreme.
