Don't tell Chelsea supporters that.

This whole Mourino effect on Chelsea is akin to a guy finding a girlfriend, having a great time, breaking up, and a few years later reconciling in the hope that things will be the same before they broke up. It doesn't work!

lol @ the girlfriend analogies in football. Always amusing. Anyway, Mourinho will do well. He is only 2 points behind the league leaders and infront of the amazing City who everyone is afraid of here and he doesn't have Agüero or Suarez scoring goals left and right for him. Torres, Eto'o and Ba have 5 goals combined this season. You add a world class striker to that team and a lot changes. Needless to say Mourinho's second seasons are always when his teams click. At Madrid they were also struggling a lot in his first season, including the 5-0 Clasico and we were laughing. In his second season he set an all time La Liga point record and beat us at Camp Nou.

We're too reliant on at times brilliant but generally inconsistent attacking mids, and even when Mata gets a run of games he's not playing like he used to, probably down to Mourinho's tactics. We're just too inconsistent in general, especially away, and our defence is more often than not, extremely complacent, which is why I have no faith in the team winning at Arse on Monday.

I don't know, you may be right..but I don't remember Mourinho losing so many games at the beginning of the season like he did in these last 2 seasons. Not to mention that his teams used to have a better defensive record.

Three players and indeed their specific skill sets that Mourinho had in his previous spell at Chelsea which they don't have now. Two are obvious third one isn't. The two obvious ones are Makelele and Drogba. The third is Carvalho. Carvalho was not only a ball playing centre half but his sense of positioning, reading of the game and pace will very key assets.

If Mourinho gets those three skill sets into the team Chelsea will be harder to beat.

Carvalho was always better than Terry. Terry is playing better than he was without Mourinho but he still isn't very good anymore. Don't really know if buying a youngster in Zouma is a good idea for the current situation, and Guarin, who seems to be not too far off signing, is no Makelele, neither is Mikel.
