Christian Eriksen

Barcelona have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Tottenham star Christian Eriksen, with reports claiming the Denmark international is willing to force a transfer this summer. Eriksen is supposedly eager to follow in the footsteps of his fellow countryman Michael Laudrup. Eriksen supposedly views the chance to move to Ernesto Valverde’s side as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

With Griezmann now rumoured to stay in Atletico, the plot thickens...

They're quoting Don Balon though.

When you read this, get excited, but then realise that Don Balol made that up...

Lol, Don Balon and Diario Gol are all over the place - they are the Donald Trump equivalent of sports journalism.

A goal and an assist in a span of only 3 minutes tonight to bring Denmark a 2-0 win in a friendly against Mexico. This guy really is something special, would love to see him here in the Iniesta role, and Coutinho on the wing.

Imo he's not gonna come here, way too many obstacles. Levy, his rumoured asking price, Spurs wanting to renew him and Dele Alli after they did so with Kane and ofc other big clubs interested in him.

Next off-season we have a chance, If he doesn't re-sign.

I think Eriksen could actually complement Coutinho in a good way .. and having two excellent long distance shot takers could also add a lot of flexibility to our attacks.

yep. Not happening.

It's going to be Griezmann or a combination of a CM and a winger.

As we informed you on Sunday, Mauricio Pochettino is interested in bringing Rafinha to Tottenham Hotspur next season. The Brazilian, who spent last season on loan at Inter Milan, is still waiting for the Italians to make a decision on his future. Inter had an option to make his move permanent for €35m but went back on their word as they're confident they can get Barcelona to reduce their asking price. The central midfielder isn't part of Ernesto Valverde's plans for next season so Barcelona could use him as a bargaining chip in their negotiations with Tottenham for Christian Eriksen.

The Dane, who is someone that interests Barcelona greatly, means that Spurs have moved ahead of Inter when it comes to Rafinha. At the moment the Italian side are only interested in an additional loan deal or Rafinha for a much lower fee than €35m. Neither option particularly appeals to Barcelona. It won't be easy for Barcelona as Eriksen renewed his contract at Spurs at the end of 2016 until 2020. This also came with a salary increase, taking him to £70,000 per week, as the Dane established himself as a key member of Tottenham's XI. In fact, the North London outfit are already working on another new deal for Eriksen after signing Harry Kane to improved terms a few days ago.

Well, this is just speculation. Nothing really to hold our breath about yet.

But, if Spurs renew Alli first on a big wage (before Eriksen), I could see this happening.
