Christian Eriksen

Yeah, and swap-deals almost never happens.
But maybe we can get him for only 100M€ now

Why should Tottenham demand less?

They'd demand more. If the rumored price for Rafinha was 35 and 160 for Eriksen, them asking 100m would be stupid, IMO.

190 million was last year's report.

I'd imagine that they would want around 130 million without Rafinha now.

If he really wants to play for us, he should not renew his contract and probably we will be able to get him for cca 80 million in the summer of 2019.

The thing is, that they are stubborn enough to make him stay for the rest of his contract. They can't replace him with similar quality, and I think they are very keen to utilize Kane and Pochettino + the new stadium right now. I think it is impossible, even if he pushes for a move.

Doubt Eriksen would push for a deal literally like Dembele did, for instance. He's a nice lad and seems polite.

He might ask to leave and that's about it. Good trait, nonetheless.

I guess it all depends who is on the market next season. If they can find replacement, I think they would let him go for around 80 million. Better 80 million than nothing. The most imprtant thing is that he doesn't sign a new contract before summer 2019 if he really wants to come to Barca.

There is also the sallary cap problem at Spurs. I doubt that they can fit Kane, Alli and Eriksen into it + renewing other key players like Son. We'll see, I guess.

I think that it is wishful thinking, but lets see. Liverpool has been way more aggressive than previously (evolvement from Suarez-deal to Coutinho-deal), and I don't see why other top-6 clubs should be more aggressive as well? That could mean: Pay 150-200M€ or we keep our player until he expires - they are swimming in money anyway, so 80M doesn't really mean much - a full season with a world class player means more to them, as I see it.

I also hope that we get a great CM like Eriksen or Thiago, but right now I'm betting on Thiago - either one would be quite impressive transfer-work and great for our future squad.

There's a difference between being agressive with Cou, who had 4,5 years left on his contract and Eriksen who will have 1 year left next year. Tottenham aren't swimming in salary money, they have a salary cap. Getting Eriksen this summer is borderline impossible, but next year, if he doesn't sign another contract, he is getable for around 80 million IMO.
