When it comes to Eriksen, I keep going back in forth in my head on if we really need him.

It really comes down due to Coutinho. Honestly we just don't know what Valverde is going to do with him. Is he going to use him as Iniesta's successor in the Midfield? or is he going to reinvent the front line with Coutinho being as a LW with Messi as a False 9 and Dembele on the right?

If Valverde plans on using Coutinho as a Midfielder I think the idea of getting Eriksen takes a back seat as both are attacking midfielders. However if Valverde sees Coutinho as nothing more than a Forward, it's possible for us to look at Eriksen as a Iniesta successor.

But it seems He's no longer an option due to what Tottenham may want. Right now especially since UOL and Globo are considered some of the most reliable sources in Brazil, Especially Globo are saying that Arthur is coming in the next few days and we are chasing Pjanic as well.

I simply don't know why we would want another defensive midfielder. We have Busi and Rakitić, who are world class in that role, Paulinho the wild card and the new boy Arthur.
None of them solves the problem of attacking midfield. Busi is always a CDM. Rakitić is great as a pivot, but useless as anything else. Paulinho is a goal-poaching midfielder/destructor. Arthur is a talented controller, but yet unproven.

Valverde needs to decide what does he want. If we are going to play same old 4-4-2, then we don't need Eriksen. However, if we decide to play 4-3-3 again, Eriksen would be great, especially if Valverde uses Coutinho mostly as a LW. Then we could do this:

Attacking (4-3-3):
-----------------MATS----------------
Sem/Bob-Enterprenour-Umtiti-Alba
---------------Busquets--------------
--------------------Rakitić/Arthur----
--------Eriksen-----------------------
-----------------------------Coutinho
Dembele-----------------------------
----------------Messi-----------------

Defending (4-5-0):
-----------------MATS----------------
Sem/Bob-Enterprenour-Umtiti-Alba
---Eriksen----Busquets---Rakitić---
Dembele-------------------Coutinho
----------------Messi-----------------

Just replace Messi with someone fast and technical like Mbappe and you are all set with a fearsome counter attack machine.

And, Not just counter attack, you can play the usual Barca way aswell. The midfield is more than good for that.

Just need to poach Mbappe or someone like him soon. Messi can't do everything. We need someone cunning, hard presser up front.

Today, like in every big game he disappeared and he even missed a penalty in the end. He might have a great tallent but he NEVER delivers in big games and that’s a fact.

Bullshit

Anyway, Eriksen had a bad tournament all in all. Not that his performances here are necessarily indicative of his true level, but it should at least be an eye opener to those who believes he's the savior and solution to our midfield problems.

He hasn't got a clue what he's talking about. Hell, not long ago in the playoffs for the WC when we needed to a scoring draw or a win after having only managed a draw at home against Ireland, he scored a fucking hattrick in Dublin. Eriksen has a boatload of great performances - both in clutch matches and against tough opponents.

In football you are only as good as your last match. Base on this Mbappe is now the best player in the world and Eriksen just an overrated player who NEVER delivers in big games.
