We aren't playing Bayern or Madrid here. This is Roma away with a 3 goal advantage in the first leg.
There is zero need to risk Busquets in a match like this and a few other players could be rested as well considering we have Valencia on the weekend and the sooner we wrap this title race up the better. We only need about 3 more wins.
We're F.C. Barcelona and they're A.S. Roma. No need to play defensive, just dominate possession and hit them on the counter when they push men forward which is inevitable considering their deficit in the tie. Dembele would be good for this.
The last thing we'd want to do is sit back and allow them to control the tempo of the match.
As usual you underestimate the opponent.
So how would you want us to play?
Set up two banks of four and try and sit behind the ball?
Risk Busquets in a tie that's already over that might impact his ability to feature for us in the semis?
I'm not advising that we go all out attack or anything of that sort. Just maintain possession and look to attack when the opportunities arise. I just don't want us to shrivel up like a prune and play like cowards against a team that's clearly inferior to us.
The tie is not over and without Busquets we lose too much control. Maybe sub him if we didn't concede after 60-70 mins.
We should mantain possession but definitely without pressing if we lose it like we did in the first leg.
Think Valverde has settled on a XI for the later stages of the CL by the looks of it.Same line-up as in the first leg. Semedo starts three in a row :O. What is it, a dream?
