Doubt he was the one he broke up the amigos. I'm starting to think it was Bartomeu. Didn't he say if it were up to him, Suarez would've stayed?

Very much could be. Barto seemed to have been playing a chess game with Messi .. either he did not want to be the one to let Messi go or he wanted Messi to be left alone without friends and defamed (or both).

And Trincao has a very problematic tendency to do flicks like a Neymar without having half his technique. Just keep it simple if you're not a flamboyant magician with the ball, because you look silly falling on your ass after some attempted roulette that goes wrong.

I am waiting to hear about those turnovers from Coutinho and pedri that turned into counters.

The only difference from the first game is they are playing a deeper line of defense because without Messi we cannot break it down. At least with Puig we could have some through balls.

Griezyboy come to our rescue.

Our best bet is to get Xavi or Pep next summer mainly so that we do not deviate further from 433 and possession based triangle build up style

Our best bet would be to get someone like Klopp next summer so that we evolve beyond the mundane possession recycling tiki taka playing style. That time has long gone. Look at us in the first half. Knocking the ball around without making any genuine impact on goal.

This has nothing to do with what we played in 2009-2012. That was a very intense fast football similar to current Liverpool more than anything.

I remember only one from each of them. No counters ended up being threatening anyway. A far cry from Messi's 10-20 ball losses.

I honestly believe that Barca style is extremely unique because it is vital that you do not do stupid decisions and lose the ball, or so it was fee years back. That being said, we need a military system where you groom youngsters from a very young age to become these players on the pitch .. maybe 6 to 8 players need to be homegrown Barca players

To clarify I would like to see us being more direct in our approach. Trying to re-create what we did in previous years would not work because we do not have the players to implement that style. That was a team with generational type players.
