Like Mingueza there. So, he went to cover for Alba, but as soon as the player went wide, he asked Alba to take him on so he could resume his normal place in central defense area.

That's how you do it. Alba was used to the slow defenders where they take ages to get back in their place. He was getting ready to be CB for about a minute.

These quick positional exchanges between CB and corresponding fullback have to be done very fast. Fullbacks don't have the build to be good central defenders. Unless you're talking fullbacks who come from central defenders like Abidal was.
